I'm liking the Ari storyline a lot. Very cool, albeit probably very unrealistic.
Bored of the Drama story, we've seen him struggle to find work before.
Sasha's 70's style bush was pretty funny given all the talk about shaved box throughout the episode.

And and and... a couple years ago when Billy was just getting into porn he said "I'm bringing back the wide bush". One of his most memorable lines.
Here we are all this time later, Billy shows up and what do we see?
Very sly.
Or maybe just a coincidence.
But still.

I'm loving this season, but my only problem with it is the lack of continuity with Vince. One season his career is in the tank and he's like OMGZ I GOTTA BE SERIOUS ABOUT MY CAREER and now he's all "PARTY!!!!!"
Should make for an interesting storyline but it's bugging me a little bit.
Oh and the whole Turtle shaving thing was pretty lame IMO. The whole shaving topic has been done in too many movies, it's just not very funny anymore.

i thought that last sunday's episode was quite good - the closing scene with e and Sloan lead to some interesting conversation with the wife......

The entire show is like that. They've got a pretty small team behind the cameras, and it's pretty much Doug Ellen doing everything. I remember early on in a season 2 interview he talked about how little the show is planned out and no idea whats going to come next. Now in the 6th season it's beyond obvious...the show and Vince's character have changed tone about a billion times.
I really like this storyline, and actually showing the dark side of hollywood. But it could've been done a long time ago, and a bunch of crap could've just been cut out. Should still be a good storyline moving forward though, I just hope to god this isn't going down the road of a rehab storyline.

That's probably about as close to realism as you're going to see for the Hollywood lifestyle though. Things are bad, time to refocus. Things are good, they'll never end. The cycle continues. Honestly, think about the real life guys who are comparable to the Vince character, there are tons of rollercoaster careers in that group.

Pretty dark episode last night. The half-hour went by way too fast.

Have Vince pull a River Phoenix on the season finale, that would wake up the series.

Are you a few episodes behind? Ari is just fine. All that happened is a story was reported of some of the stuff he said. Not nearly as bad as it could have been if the tapes got released or if the lawsuit went through.
The only thing that really sucks for Ari is that he won't get that NFL team. But honestly did anyone actually think he was going to get an NFL team? It was a storyline doomed to fail.

No I'd say he's pretty screwed.
Wouldn't be surprised to see major repercussions in his family after those comments. It could also have a domino effect with major clients. Very interesting turn on the Ari storyline I think

I can see a Ari vs Mrs. Ari split up story coming soon.
It's kinda weird thinking about Ari like this, but he always says he loves his wife and how important she is to him and all this. He seems like for all his faults, he's a half decent husband and a good father. Rewind the series to Season One and there's an episode where he's talking about cheating on his wife with a model and thinking about "hitting that" in regards to his assistant Emily. It's almost as if they originally planned on writing Ari as the ultimate pig, but then figured it would be better for his character to be dealing with his wife and children when not yelling at his employees.
I like the Ari/Mrs. Ari dynamic and would be interested to see a storyline in which their relationship begins to crumble.

I don't understand how it would even be news. Like everyone in hollywood doesn't know what Ari is like? From a news story based on hearsay?
I know they needed a way to nix the NFL thing but what a lame way to do it. If any repercussions come from this Ari storyline then it is completely a stupid cop out.
As far as I'm concerned he's fine. His wife will be mad, sure. Some of his clients won't be happy, so what? He avoided any of the serious repercussions of his actions. No lawsuit, no real story because the tapes weren't released. Like I said, how stupid is this storyline when the reporter has no proof, Ari is already known to all of Hollywood to be a dick and the woman that gave the reporter the info has a known hatred for Ari. Ari should be suing the reporter for slander.
I don't get why him and his wife would split because of this. She'll be mad because she'll get some negative attention and people talking behind her back about how her husband is a dick. Big deal. Ari's wife has dealt with a lot. I can't see her giving a crap that he's mean to his employees, she must have seen how he treated Lloyd. Anyone who was surprised to hear what Ari said is an idiot IMO. I mean on the show, not people watching the show.
Ari could be better and I'm sure he's not happy that this stuff was reported but he avoided the major blow which was a lawsuit or the tapes being released. As far as I'm concerned he's fine.

I'd be surprised if his wife left him over it, considering she hears his rants and language all the time(like when he called E a c*ntmuscle on the phone while next to her in bed). But I guess its more what the writers decide to do with it, rather than what we think would happen in that situation.
I just gotta say that I am totally loving this season. No its not as good as the first 3 seasons, but its a hell of a lot better than where the show's been lately. I'm just glad it looks like its going to go out on a high note, rather than just mail it in down to the finish line. I'd love to see them end with a movie too, hopefully that materializes more.

Ya I agree. I think that the dynamic of Ari being a hot shot and top of his game at work but then how his wife is the head of the household at home is really funny. But I definitely thought the same thing with regards to them originally planning to make him a sleazeball.

I agree. It was wierd how they built that up. Through 7 seasons Ari has been loud mouthed and brash, yet somehow now through this one publication his reputation is going to be in shambles? Didn't really add up. Now that I think of it it was pretty poorly executed. It would actually be lame if it ended up being the trigger to some big downfall for Ari, because it just wouldn't make sense. There wasn't even anything scandelous about it, unless I missed something.
Other than that, I've been liking the last few episodes.

Enjoyed the episode last night. The last 4 have been pretty strong IMO. I like seeing E and Vince fight, I think it makes for some great scenes.
Ari had some great lines as well.
This is cool news, I co host a weekly podcast(well 2 times a week) for entertainment talk for TEAM 1040. On Wednesday, we are going to interview Adrian Grenier. Vinnie Chase himself. He's promoting some documentary. As the Entourage guy on the show, I'm responsible for all the Entourage questions........Any question suggestions??
