Can't really upgrade on a bucket.

My suggestion: A book about Saskie wildlife and plants and whatnot. You know, something like "The Flora and Fauna of Saskatchewan" or "The Atlas of Breeding Birds of Saskatchewan".

They are good to have around when you are out in the sticks with the birds and the trees and the bugs.

And they are not clutter. Whatever you do, don't get them something that is clutter. No matter how cool it is, if it's gimmicky or it needs batteries or whatever, it will become a nuisance. You don't want to be remembered as a nuisance.

I do and he will come with but he doesn't enjoy fishing, he has (unofficial) ADD it is hard for him to focus on something for that long.. so I thought about this to try and get him interested in it, but even with my spare sitting there he won't touch it.. just drives the boat.

This is good advice, don't want anything that is going to take up a lot of space or something he feels that he has to have out in the open just in case I pop up to the cabin one day. Something to keep in mind when I shop. I know his brothers would love the book, but he wouldn't even crack it.. again the unofficial ADD, he works his tail off all winter so he can just sit up at the lake all summer and not even have to look at a piece of paper.

The tool idea gets me thinking, he spends about 12 weeks of the year up there from May-September.. so something that is a double that he has to bring up every single time might really help him out.

can't upgrade on a bucket, but you can buy those things that golf courses have to clean the grass out of your spikes. You have to hammer drill them into a large patio block or wood though to make sure they are stable.

- Mini fridge/freezer.
How could a gift of booze and an axe possibly go wrong?

Anyway the obvious gift for a cabin in the woods is a chain saw and a hockey mask.

I thought a gasblender meant Indian for lunch and Mexican for dinner.

If you were a cabin owner what gift could a friend give you that would be very useful?

Looking to spend $100 or under.

I have a cabin and these are gifts that I know I would enjo

- If he has a wakeboard/ski boat - maybe a nice skiing/wakeboard life jacket or a 2 or 3 man tube (if he doesn't have one)
- Someone said a heat lamp for the deck
- A nice set of chairs for the camp fire

Personally I'd stay away from things like tools, axes and that kind of stuff - most people that own cabins already have that stuff there.

Last weekend I remember people were drinking instant coffee.. which is gross... coffee maker just made the list.

Well done DuffMan, well done.

So far on my list I have:

Coffee Maker
Grill Set (he is always BBQing up a storm)
Case of ice cold delicious Sner
Back up case of ice cold delicious Sner
Wine/Beer glasses
Nice bottle of wine

I'd like to get him something for his water skis but he already has it all.. new lifejacket/gloves, ski itself is to expensive and they have all the stuff for the course..

Get a bottle of Baileys to go with the new good coffee, also.
