Default Super cheap Bowflex deal 1 day only!

Just pulled this off RFD, usually the stuff on there is on electronics and such, but this is one of the hotter deals I have seen in some time. I was just looking at this machine (Bowflex pr3000) at a local fitness store, and it sells for $1299. Used ones run $8-900, Sears has it for $649 if you order by phone only.1-800-267-3277 At this price, if it doesn't work out for you, you could sell it for $650 in a heartbeat and get rid of it risk free. The deal is only good tomorrow, but the system is taking orders right now. CSR I talked to when I ordered indicated I was the third order he took in the last hour.

Here is the RFD post:

Bought one over the phone for pickup since online is reg price. Also, gonna call back and try to apply this $50 off coupon 941612624 making this a super hot deal! Hopefully I can try to get fit with this thing.

update: sucessfully applied coupon code#941612624 for $50 off. Sale is from the flyer. Use order code# 068 430 828 since online has a different order code. flyer: http://www.eflyer.sears.ca/FSI/Page....on=GT_OP_ON_NE

Darn, If only it was next week I'd have the cash around for this. I've been wanting one for a while. I'm just worried that after a short while it will just collect dust

I bought the same machine from Costco a few years back. It was branded under a different name (bowlfex exceed instead of bowflex extreme i think). It works good. I wish I would have spent the money on dumbells and a bench though. you would get more effectiveness out of it.

THe machine itself is pretty good though. You have use more weight and more reps than you normally would. Still good to get to a gym and use free weights a couple times a month to help with the balance and coordination aspects you won't get from this machine.

Good buy though

You're better off getting a power rack and a 300 lb Olympic set instead for about the same money.

bow flex is going out of business as I understand it. You'll start to see more and more deals like this. In fact, if I understand it correctly, they no longer offer service on their products sold in Canada. (or that is what I was told by a salesperson at one of the fitness stores when I asked why they were so cheap/going on clearance).

There was a deal on Bowflex dumbbells at bowflex.ca last week. I got the 552's for $50 off, free stand($180), and free shipping($130).
A couple of weeks ago. it was just free stand, and then when I saw free shipping earlier this week, I pulled the trigger. As of Friday those deals were no longer listed.

If I was into bulking up I couldn't agree more. Been there, done that in my 20's. I peaked at a 3 1/2 plate press, and could preacher curl 160. And inwas at it for about 7 years 4 days a week, until I just couldn't find the motivation anymore. With some of the joint issues I am having now from the 3 plate, poop yourself, bench press days, I need to keep it more civilized. Now I am looking more to trim up, gain core strength and lose weight. I am 6'2 230, I want to get to around 200-205. The gym is just too out of the way for me, my job is pretty demanding, and I live on the top floor of a wood frame condo building, so free weights aren't an option anyway. I also like the idea of climbing out of bed, and working out in my ginch.

As to the Bowflex going under thing, I can't find anything online, and I called both bowflex and non bowflex dealers today to verify, and nobody has heard anything even close to that. Either way, it's the same price as most knockoffs, and one store i called said at that price, if you don't like it, he'd take it off my hands for 500 bucks.

Due to a serious injury free weights are not an option for me and the amount of exercises for that foot print is impressive. I hope it will fit nicely in a 4' wide spot.

I just ordered one, be here on the 14th. I used that coupon code no problem.

Sounds like we have similar issues.

Mine is confirmed to arrive on Friday the 13th at Chinook. ooooooooh.

I talked to the guy at Flaman Fitness about ordering the 310 lb resistance upgrade, and they have no rods in stock. So I ordered them from the Bowflex Canada site for $109. He also didn't believe the price from Sears, thought I was lying. You do not want to put the upgrade rods in after you build your machine... it is a pain in the ass. Put them is when you do the initial setup. One thing I can assure you about these machines, is don't take the weight estimates serious. 210 lbs on the bench exercise is more like 150, for legs you will definitely need more than 210. I have worked out on a friends a few times in the past, and for any reasonably sized guy, you will go past the 210 resistance limit very quickly.

Damn. Impressive. But yeah, benching that kind of weight can't be great for the rotator cuff.

I can't see it being hard to upgrade the rods.

I really hope the 41" wide measurement is accurate. I have the perfect spot.
I would like to ease into a routine with a view of the TV.

I believe the 310 upgrades go in the holes at the front, and they screw in from the bottom. And the 410 upgrade clips into the back slots. At least that is what my interwebz sciencing taught me.
