Default Have you been to Pacific Rim National Park ?

I made reservations already so I'm good to go. (hard to get, booked it in March)

Apparently it's one of the jewels of our National Parks and I have been to the long beach and have heard about the hot spring cove and the boardwalks through the old growth etc. etc.

I've done the Ucluelet and Tofino thing but I am interested in finding some cool hidden treasures like an old long house or something. Ideas ?

If the weather is good I plan on trying sea kayaking, my Cousin has one on the other side of the island I'm bringing over.

Can't go wrong with anything on the island, fantastic part of Canada.

I was there a few days ago, it is such a beautiful place. It was a little cool, maybe around 18C. We went to a really good sushi place in Tofino called tough city. We also went kayaking from maple bay to genoa bay the day after a pod of orcas went through. Vancouver Island is one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Last time I had lunch in Tofino, 1 piece of Hali w/fries, and a pint, for 2 of us it was $46.

Bring cash !

definitely not cheap, despite the "little hippy town" image they try to give off

If you've never been surfing before, I highly recommend it. So much fun.

Simply beautiful area; one of the nicest I've ever been to. I was just surfing on Chesterman's beach 2 weeks ago. It's just outside the park but still amazing. Can't wait to go back.

check out Radar Hill (and Radar Hill trail) in Pacific Rim Park. If the sun is shining - its spectacular.
