Default What to do in Calgary?

I need the help of the calgarypuck community. I have a friend (female) coming to visit and i really want to impress her. She hasn't been to Calgary very much before, so i know i could do the obvious... (Zoo, Tower, etc.) but what other fun things are there to do / dine at / see? we're both in our early twenties. Any advice is appriciated...

Drive up to West Edmonton Mall. It's awesome.

If you REALLY want to impress her, take her to the basement of Chicken on the Way.

Sit on any corner and count the number of 4 wheeler trucks with shotguns in the rear window go by! First one to 300 wins! Took me 15 minutes once!

The easiest way to impress this girl is to make at least $100,000/year. That's a sure fire way to get with a girl in Calgary.

If he has to post on CP to get ideas on what to do with a girl in Calgary he is probably not getting laid anyway.

Seriously though. The mountains. Johnston Canyon. Drumheller/Badlands. Hell this may be goofy but go to Calaway Park for the day and have some goofy fun. Pack a nice picnic lunch.

Banff is awesome. Be sure part of her trip involves a day or two up there. Chicks dig it when you do that for their Calgary trip.

Good tip. I recommend going up to Banff or Kananaskis and camping with two tents. One for the two of you and one on your pants.

You could always take her to the Calgary Tower. No telling what you two might see there.

$100,000/year is nothing these days actually. Especially in Calgary.

We always take visitors to the Calgary Tower - do the 'walk of faith' thingy and then brunch at Avenue Diner on Stephen Avenue.

Just make sure she wears pants or shorts. Perv's with zoom lenses can grab crotch shots from the sidewalk below.

She'd be more impressed if she tried the new repel off the top of the Tower feature they tried out on Tuesday.

If you want something a bit more extreme, maybe zipline or zorbing at COP?
