Your signature has improper grammar in it, and that makes me a sad panda.

Weird, it was set to the 1st in the contact list, I edited and then saved without making changes and it changed it back to the 1st.

Anybody tried FaceTime yet? I got mine working (not really sure how) but my only friend with an iPhone 4 is still stuck on waiting for activation. Thoughts?

Mine was working a few hours after my microSIM activated.
Try turning the device off for a couple minutes then restart it, reinsert the sim card, or wait until next day to see if it's active. These are the answers I got online yesterday looking up what the delay in mine was.

Hope you guys are enjoying the phones. I am long overdue for an upgrade from Rogers. I think I will call up retentions and see if i can get my upgrade and a new plan. Any tips on how to get retentions to be cooperative and offer the good packages with a good amount of data (I currently have the $30 6 gig)

Make sure when you are negotiating with them that you want a seperate voice and data package. Otherwise their voice+data plans won't support the 6GB.
After negotiations and what not I got them to give me a 10$ discount per month on the 6GB 30$ pack.

If it doesn't say "Waiting for activation..." under the FaceTme on/off switch, then you should be good to go.

FaceTime works through wifi, not over 3G, so that's why it'll work without activation.
And even though intellectually I know it's because I'm comparing this to the brutally slow iPhone 3G on iOS4, it's still hard to feel very happy when everything just happens at the speed at which you do things, rather than having to wait. I find myself using the phone for stuff I actually used to use my 3G for when I first got it again, like checking prices when in a store, or using the map to find stuff.. I got away from that because it was so brutally slow to do that stuff.
And I still can't get over the screen resolution, I can read CP with the fonts so small they'd just be a couple of pixels on the 3G.

I still think Facetime in itself won't be used much down the road (at least by me?), but if the API can be used on apps like Skype...would be amazing.

Windows Mobile is garbage. Either way, a Froyo Nexus One (or Desire for that matter) would beat the i4 handily in your test. All are great devices either way. There's plenty of videos of it on YouTube. I don't know if the "fastest smartphone ever released" was a joke or not.
Beating an HD2 and making that statement is like picking on the ######ed kid at school.
Edit: 2.1 Galaxy S phones are keeping up with Froyo Nexus Ones.
