Mike Jacobs traded to TO for a player to be named later according to TO.
Does this mean that Overbay is likely gone?

Don't read into it. Dopirak is injured, and Cooper isn't ready to be called up to AAA. The hole had to be filled.

Also, I just wanted to spin the numbers on Gose for everyone after researching today:
Taking a look at all hitters in the Florida State League - I sorted by OPS initially, and kept going through finding all players born 1990 or later until we got to Gose.
1: Junior Lake (Chc): .258/.338/.409/.747, 8 HR, 0 NSB, 28 BB:69 K
2. Anthony Gose: .263/.325/.385/.710, 4 HR, 9 NSB, 32 BB:103 K
Now, Lake has 150 or so less PAs, so the strikeouts work out around the same level but with Lake taking a few more walks and obviously showing more power. But otherwise, Gose is 2nd among players in the FSL born 1990 or later.
Interestingly, Pastorincky just missed out on qualifying by being born in Dec 89. He would've been 2nd on the list had he qualified, and now he's even in AA. Certainly makes the Braves' move look better.
Players born in 89 ahead of Gose in OPS: Quincy Latimore (.727), Travis D'Arnaud (.713).
On top of that, only two players in 88 were better, one of which again is a Jay (McDade) and I don't recall the other guy.
This at least still puts Gose at the top of the class in his league, despite the outset numbers. And he as that top of the class at a lower age.

Problem is, a person can not look at numbers when you are evaulating a prospect and their potential. Averages and stuff like that means very little as the guy is so young. Drafted 2 years ago as a Pitcher.
He is basically a player who is 5 tool player. Which is very rare and tough to find (i.e. AA said he tried to get him included in the Doc trade... he tried during the winter etc....)
A player like Pastorincky is not a 5 tool player (i.e. Snider is not a 5 tool player either and he was our best OF prospect).

I'm not sure what your point is. I just heavily defended the acquisition of Gose based on stats, the one thing people were using to criticize him. Unless I'm misreading your tone or direction.

Point is, a person can not use stat's. AA in an interview yesterday slammed folks who look at the average.
As for Wallace, I believe his down side is his defensive ability.

No, d'Arnaud is 21. It's not likely to impact their careers anytime soon but I'm thinking more in terms of 2012 - 2013.

I agree about Wallace, but I think stats are only irrelevant in small sample sizes. Especially in baseball, a sport that has insane amounts of sabermetrics. So while average is a completely useless and outdated stat, there are other measures that are not.
So I look at it like this. To judge a player's potential and projection or their defensive ability, you can use the human eye. But stats are a way to justify offensive output.

What would the Jays be asking in return for Bautista?
If they Jays are doing a proper rebuild id think they would be looking to move him, because when the Jays are hopefully a better team in a couple years Bautista may not be the same player.
Sell when the price is high?

It all comes down to what teams are willing to offer up for Bautista...I think AA will listen but it's gotta be a huge return coming back

It has to be a high end prospect (Blue Chipper), or he would stay. A "wow" kinda of deal that the Jays could not refuse.

Afterwards, his teammates spoke of how much they want him to remain with the Blue Jays beyond Saturday's 4 p.m. ET non-waiver trade deadline, a feeling shared by Bautista.
"Hopefully they keep me around," he said. "I like this team a lot, I like my teammates, so to hear them say stuff like that makes me feel real good and accepted. I'm just having a lot of fun right now."

Now I really hope they don't trade this guy.

I think there's a good chance Bautista sticks around this year, but if he doesn't, people hopefully won't freak out. The logical decision -is- to trade him.

I would freak out. You can't trade anything just because it's high value. Sure the Jays may not contend for a few years but that doesn't mean they should lose 100 games next year either. There needs to be that bridge between now and later and some good players like Bautista have to be kept. Or else they become Pittsburgh and rebuild forever.

I do hope players like Fraser, Gregg and Buck are moved. No way the Jays will keep them next year and I doubt they offer Arbritation

Wow the Jays made zero moves, very dissappointed in AA.
There is no way the Jays offer Arbritration to players like Frasor

Guys like Wood and Dotel are getting moved. Nobody wants Frasor.

Not true, ESPN reported lots of teams were interested in Downs, Frasor and Gregg. Problem is the Jays asked for a high end propsect in return
