They say "pre-teen", I wonder if that means he was closer to 12-13 than being a toddler.

Not that it matters, it's horrible no matter what age he was.

1 parent was home... God that is terrible. That parent will suffer with this for the rest of his/her life. I can only imagine the agony this would cause.

You have to wonder how something like this could happen. A small child I could see, but a 10 year old would have to make a pretty big mistake to do something like that by an accident.

Absolutely awful though.

I don't know, if he was dumb enough to sit on the railing, like a lot of kids are, he could fall right off.

this is tough, tough news. It was bad enough yesterday when in Edmonton a 2 or 3 year old girl fell 3 stories but luckily lived.

This is stomach churning. I feel so bad for those parents. My thoughts are with them
