Has Entourage become one of those things that is 'cool' to hate on now?
It's been like that for a couple years now. I have never jumped on board with that feeling but the start of this season kinda made me understand the criticism more. Last night's episode was pretty solid though, and I still love the show and will buy the season when it comes out on DVD.

I get that it isn't as awesome as it used to be. However no one is forcing those that aren't enjoying it to watch it anymore.

Totally agree with that. My only guess is that those people invested a lot of time watching the first few season, they wanna see it out. But in the meantime, they will bitch about it.

It's like Darryl Sutter's reign with the Flames!

I'm glad they are giving Scott a bigger role now. With E settling down somewhat, Turtle investing his time into his entrepreneuship, and Drama trying to get an acting role, it's awesome how Scott and Vinny are off partying. Scott is such a greaseball and I love it.
I miss the relationship between Lloyd and Ari though. Lloyd's role is really weak now and Ari's assistant is just there to uninterestingly fill a void.

People just love to see things fall from grace in popular culture. With the press and word of mouth Entourage got in its early years, it was bound to go down a little and have people jump on it. Personally I've liked this season, I just feel it could've been a lot better had the least few seasons actually had any sort've direction, making this one not feel as rushed.
I thought it was a really good episode, liked last week too. The season opener way slow (as always), but overall I'm much more into this season than last.
Good season so far IMO, seems to be picking up quite nicely and I like a few of the new storylines being developed (ie. Ari and the NFL). The only complaint I have, as has been stated earlier in the thread, is the lack of the Ari-Lloyd banter. They really need to find a way to bring the Lloyd character back into the forefront of the plot development.

Exactly what I was thinking when watching yesterday when the new secretary was preparing him for the big meeting, they need Lloyd back in that role. He's totally useless in his current with Eric taking over Drama's managerial duties.
NFL and Ari are nice and all but the boys going to the agency and the smart ass remarks from everyone were nice so wish they'd bring them to visit Ari a bit more as well.
Turtle's storyline is garbage, they already had one love affair on the show, don't need the fat guy going through the same thing now, he should just be trying to pick up chicks and getting turned down.
I thought the last episode was one of the best that I've seen. I hope next kicks off where this past episode left us, with the boys heading to Vegas!
it wont tho, this show does that... brings so much hype, then what you want doesn't happen. They will reference their trip to Vegas a few episodes later. just like the end of last season and the beginning of this season... so much that was going to happen, didn't happen. Or isnt talked about anymore. Mediian? That took up a full season, sold the movie for $1.... and nothing has ever come of it... this show is going down hill. Im hoping this season brings it back...
But Californication has won my heart over. Much better for the male audience.

Even the biggest Entourage haters have to give some props to last night's episode. I thought it was fantastic. Porn star, Mike Tyson, Bob Saget, classic Ari rip on Llyod, more hot broads and an episode about ass sex. Awesome stuff last night.
