We have a west facing house in Cranston and I couldn't see anything out of our bonus room window. I could have been looking right into a funnel cloud for all I knew. Lots of broken trees, siding and pock marked vehicles here.

Tornado warning for those near Dewinton. Looks to be east of there now.

There was a tornado warning in Okotoks and I live on the southwest edge of Calgary. The Winds were so strong that our tall swedish aspens out back were bent to the point where they were touching the ground. The visibility was so bad I couldnt even see my neighbours house across the path in Fish Creek. Scary winds.

Couldn't see across the street in somerset. I took a video but the worst was already over. We were building a deck over the weekend so our garage was a housing for supplies and our car was parked on the street. Out of laziness we never moved it back. Once the hail started falling I sprinted out and drove the car around back into the alley (which was by that point a muddy river).

I called my folks who live out by Okotoks as it seemed like it was heading their way. My mom said they were looking east and it looked pretty bad. "Have you looked west?" I asked. My mom sends my dad to go look in the backyard and you just hear this muffled "oh sh*t!!" from my dad. It was pretty entertaining.

I can just imagine, a thousand eager fans lining up outside to buy Starcraft 2 at midnight being swept up by a tornado; their sweet, sweet tears, falling back to earth as fresh morning dew. Glorious.

I'll preface this with an ever effective "Knock On Wood".

I live in Southwood and we seem to have a force field over us this year. All the storms that have hit the City seem to miss us.

It rained here from 7:15 TO 7:22 ..... more like a "shower" really. Not even enough to get the deck under a tree wet.

Sorry to those of you who live further south and east .... that suffered damage.

My in-laws in Heritage Pointe got rain and hail. The crazy looking clouds from that storm were quickly closing in down here in Okotoks, but it looks like the worst of it dissipated and missed us to the East.

There is still some rain headed our way from the West, but not the tornado creating clouds from earlier.

We are in Cedarbrae and it was very intense. A LOT of hail, strong winds and a heck of a lot of rain. My husband discovered at the height of the storm that he had left the windows open on his truck. I tried not to laugh, I really did. He is out there now shovelling the hail off the driver's seat (must stop laughing - karma will get me). He says all he can hear is emergency vehicle siren's.

Saw pictures of a few clouds last night and they looked scary. There wasn't really much rain here in the NW.

It's been storming for the last 2 hours here. Lightning storm with power going in and out and it's raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock.

Came down pretty hard for about 5-10 mins while I was in Ikea. Looks like the deep South took the beating this time.
