I would be super happy if
A) No more ex-saskies moved here
B) Ex-Saskies moved away from here

Brewhouse Beer sales would plummet, possibly causing an unprecedented Calgary economic decline.....
It would hit us in our pocket books where it hurts the most....

Check out the tough guy on page 1 of that thread. Beats up some guy "nice and good" for stealing a hat and is itching for action when Calgary visits Mosaic. Stay classy.

I think this sums up my feelings after the win, and after having to listen to all the chriping from Rider fans for a good week.

From the Riders Board

just got back to saskatoon and only broke 2 knuckles. we sat in the no booze section because we had the kids. walking out of stadium a drunk stamp fan and his buddy were heckling my wife and 4 year old son and did not know that i was walking behind them. i was letting it slide untill one of them said "why dont you and your ######ed inbred kid get out of our province" i didnt feel much like chatting so i kicked the shart out of him and quick. fight 2 of the night started when my family and i were standing near my mom and step dads harley when a drunk stamp chick decided she was going to try to steal my moms helmet.i followed quietly for about a block till she met up with her boyfriend and she was telling him how she just stole this helmet from a rider fan. i asked for it back and her boyfriend started to try to get in my face. i took my time with this one and did a fantastic job messing up his face and body. i will remind you i did not have a drink at all, the entire day and both guys i got the pleasure of beating were hammered. im done going to calgary. allways talking about drunk rider fans but every time i go, i am sober and get nothing but trouble when im there from drunk stamp fans.

I don't get why people think they need to stand up for themselves after sporting events.
Especially considering how many drunk people are there. Just ignore the idiots and walk out.

Wasn't CokeMachineGlow a CP poster until he got banned for being a troll?
Actually reading that thread most of the people seemed pretty level headed. There was even an exchange b/w a Rider fan and Bomber fan apologizing for some of the fans behavior.

Oh so you're one of those:

Not to worry, you are hardly alone. There are (too) many born and raised Calgarians who cheer for the 'Riders, Canucks, Oilers and/or Eskimos.

Only on a riders forum would (some) people think assaulting two people is a good example for their families.
It would be one thing if he was attacked by these drunks and defended himself. He seems proud to have gone out of his way to have done it.
I think personally my hate for the riders is caused by all the ex-saskatchewaners I know that suddenly start going on about how great home was and how crappy Calgary is every time its a riders/Stamps game.

I'd like to preface my post by saying that I'm not condoning the behaviour/actions of Rider fans, because quite frankly some of it is just pathetic. I'm not writing this to convince you that Rider fans aren't that bad, because I know it's both untrue but pointless as some of you are so completely blinded by hatred.
I can see why people hate Rider fans but it doesn't bother me because as a Rider fan I too get sick of some of the stupid Rider fans as well.
I'm not going to argue whether or not that Rider fans are the worst fans, so don't bother bringing it up. Although, it is fair enough for us decent Rider fans to point out that there are bad fans in each fanbase. Don't see why it's such a bad thing to point that out.
For example, a co-worker of mine travelled to Calgary for the game. She was getting beaked by a drunk Stamps fan about the Riders, which was fine. If you can't take trash talk about your team then you're not much of a fan, in my opinion. But then this drunk girl starts personally insulting my coworker (lookit that dumb slut!, etc.) So, to say that Rider fans always cause the trouble as the visitors... well, it's just simply not true.
But my real reason for posting is this:
All of these stupid jokes about being from Saskatchewan in general. Yes, the OP took a jab at the Stamps; to say that Saskatchewan is full of inbreds, the list of stupid jokes goes on, are insulting, inaccurate, and irrelevant in terms of trash talking the Riders. As someone who was born and been raised in Saskatchewan, and loves my home dearly... I am disgusted with Stamps/CFL fans who think it's funny and relevant to trash talk the Riders in this way.
Right now, Saskatchewan is home to 5 of the top 10 business-friendly cities in Canada. Whose economy in Canada stayed the strongest through the recession? Saskatchewan's. The view that many Calgarians/Albertans have of Saskatchewan is out-dated. The ignorance and arrogance of Albertans toward their Eastern neighbour is shocking and disappointing.
As I said above, the point of this post isn't to convince you that Rider fans are good or bad. A lot of the hate for the team's fans is warranted. But just thought I'd throw in my two cents over the insulting and irrelevant jokes about Saskatchewan people that seem to be acceptable responses to Rider fans' actions. They aren't, and could just as likely be a part of the increasing problem between Rider and Stamps fans.

That dude has pretty skinny calves for someone who is supposedly 270 lbs. Maybe he needs to be introduced to CPs very own enforcer EE
