I do enjoy the R1d3rs / Stamps rivalry, it really is the only time I will watch a CFL game during the season.

Yup. My Mom is from P.A., but I'm born and raised in Calgary, so every summer we go back to Saskatchewan for a few weeks to the cabin north of P.A. I've got a long standing bet with my Sasky friends on the outcome of Riders/Stamps seasons. $20 bucks if the opposite team wins the Grey Cup, if not there is no payment. (My payment when we won a few years ago was given to me in a collection of British pounds and Indian Rupees, my buddy thought it was histerical, although it probably cost him more than $20 at the bank to be a dink about paying up). The 13th man debacle last year was histerical because my friend was all over me saying pay up, pay up, pay up.....and then we all know what happened.
I remember being in a northern Sasky bar about 2-3 years ago when the Stamps throttled the Riders, and I was cheering for the Stamps quite loudly the whole time. I got told to shut the hell up by a guy who must have been pushing 70, and who looked ready to beat the crap out of me....ahh good times. One thing for sure, the Saskies take their green and white very very serious.

LOL sometimes its worth the extra few bucks to be an a$$ about it.
Im a born and raised Calgarian as well, being a Riders fan is strictly by choice, thats why the cousin-lovin, backwoods cracks have no effect on me whatsoever!!
They do take it seriously, but what do you expect when theres nothing better to do there....

Oh c'mon. There's lots to do in Northern Sasky if you like to fish, drink beer/whiskey, drive on straight roads, and get into fights....

Oh c'mon now, it's the same thing in any small town in an isolated location, whether Sasky, NWT, Alberta etc.....
I have some first hand experience at the northern Sasky version that's all.
Typical R1d3rs fan, getting upset over smoke and mirrors

This is what i mean though, ya there are total tools there that get arrested and rightfully so but i had a great time around fellow stamps and riders fans alike so it really is what you make of it.
If youre a tool youll get treated as such if everyone is having a great time even if pretty hammered its a blast!

So let me get this straight.
Rider's fans are saying they won't support the Stamps anymore, and that it will throw Calgary into an economic tailspin? Oh my.
I guess that might lead to less Saskies moving to Calgary with $$ in their eyes. That Rider fan must have gotten a watermelon helmet that was a little small and cut off the circulation to his brain....
