May I offer a suggestion? If you're going to golf, and maybe going to Redwater, golfing at Goose Hummock is a no brainer. Best deal in the Edmonton area for golf.

The golf suggestion doesn't have anything to do with the beer and nachos get together. i just thought I;d throw it out there to see if anyone was interested. Beer and nachos is the primary directive still.

OK guys...so, since Killer didn't respond yet (and he's the guy that started this) thought I would say if everyone is up for it, or most anyway, the 30th (Friday seems good to me).

Let's pick a place (central is possible - at least not far south side) and let's get together.

I'll actually be in Calgary this weekend (YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!) so I'll be out.

I had been thinking of a little lounge called Hawkeye's, which is 1/2 block south of jasper on 102nd street. It is central, has good LRT access (Central LRT station) and I think that it is a quiet enough place that during the season we could convince them to turn on the sound during flames games. Food is decent and the price is pretty good. However, the parking for those who would be driving is going to be tough, but not impossible.

Since I'm not going to be around though, someone else can pick the spot. Again I would caution about picking too popular or trendy a spot. This is because we have little leverage in getting the volume turned on during games, having tables reserved, etc.

Well, Killer, it was YOUR idea. I simply suggested the 30th. Let's choose another date then if you are not going to be in Edmonton. It's not my thing. You started this rolling. You pick a date and we'll try to work it out.

If the 30th doesn't work, then lets pick the following Friday, but I think the idea is that we can get a regular group at a regular location for several games throughout the season. If someone can make it, they can make it, if they can't, they can't. I'm sure there will be another one in August.

The following Friday works for me. I'm fine with that. Never been to Hawkeye's, but we could give that a go as well.
