Caught it last night.
Not as great as I anticipated but it was a pleasure watching DiCaprio and Page, huge fan of both. Did notice when we were getting close to the 2 hour mark, I felt the winter fortress scenes were useless and almost cheesy in a Jame Bond way.
Most likely give it another watch a few months after it's released on BluRay. 7/10

The movie was good, and it was very deep. Was/is it worth the hype? Yes. Best movie ever? No, but it's a solid entry. I think if I saw it again, I'd be a little clearer on it all.
I also heard of a rumor, which may have been posted in here prior to my visit. Spoiler/rumour:
I've heard that Ellen Page's character used inception to place the thought of Cobb's resolution into his head and whether he was right or wrong to keep on going back, and seeking a resolution from it.
I don't quite remember where I heard it, but I thought it was interesting nonetheless. Maybe it was a Mega64 podcast?
On another note:

etc etc etc.
Honestly, saying foreign films are awful is just so stupid it's mind boggling. To suggest that all these movies from all different genres from all different countries are awful is borderline ######ed.

Saw it today. Your typical blockbuster movie with a neat storyline. Felt that the overall concept with the dreams were ok but the characterization was lackluster. From my view it felt extremely predictable and linear. Still worth a watch but just not the 10/10 amazingness that I've been hearing.

How in the world is Inception a typical blockbuster? Transformers: Revenege of the Fallen was a typical blockbuster.
Inception kicked ass.

You shouldn't assume that because I don't like foreign films - that I don't/haven't watched them.
I'm basing my opinion on what I've seen and that if you look at any list of what is generally considered to be the best of foreign films, they rarely contain anything from the 90s on. I'm not saying they don't exist but I'm through with experimenting with that 'genre' - I have two kids and a wife who works evenings - when we settle on a movie, we're not big on rolling the dice.

I got the feeling from this movie like it was just building for far to long... we were always building building building then the climax was just part of the building process, then all of a sudden the movie is over.
The concept was great, I was never a fan of 3rd rock from the sun boy but after watching this he has gained some respect from me as a credible actor. Christian Bale take notes from this kid on how to change your voice to suite the character without sounding fake and cheesey.
I'd give it a 6/10, I think mostly because of the hype it was ruined for me. Usually I don't buy into it, if you go in with zero expectations you are never dissapointed.. this time around I was fooled.
Only reason it gets over 5 is because Micheal Caine is the man.

Rumour has it he'll be the Riddler in the next Batman.

Ya and this reminds me of the Chris Prine playing GL rumours from a few years back. Initially I was mortified, this dweeb playing Hal Jordan? Then after seeing Star Trek I was begging for him to be GL.
Now I am not begging for him to play the Riddler, but if he was cast I would definitely be fine with it, and I know that is a deciding factor in the casting decision so I hope he is happy.

Jeez, what an awful post. I understand it's your opinion and you're entitled to it, but that's just plain ignorant. There's so many quality foreign flicks out there. Amorres Perros is maybe my favorite movie in the last 10 years outside of Inception.

It would be ignorant if I didn't watch them - but I have and it's been a long time since I've enjoyed one. That's not ignorance - that's opinion formed through experience

Well it's just the equivalent of saying you don't like foreign food because you had a burrito you didn't like once. There are way too many movies in every genre.
