Had an idea!

It's been almost a year since RIM picked up Torch Mobile and locked its newly acquired division in a closet, telling those coders to not come out until BlackBerry had a world-class browser. Early tests from Salomondrin, the self-described "007 of the Phone World," indicates that those tired engineers can now finally go home and get some sleep. The new WebKit-based browser, a part of BlackBerry OS 6.0, managed a score of 208 on the Acid tests, measuring browser compliance and performance. Meanwhile the iPhone 4 scored 185 and HTC's Incredible pulled down 151. Mind you, Acid performance doesn't always equate to real-world browser responsiveness, but regardless this is good news for CrackBerry addicts. The only question now is: when will they get their fix?

The keypad on the the Bold is nicer and it comes with a 2GB sd card. Well, the ones we get do anyway.
Bold has wifi support. I believe this is an option on the Curve.
Bold is the best of the 3, so get it if you can afford. If not, get the curve.

No word yet about what devices will get OS6. I'm hoping my Bold 9700 will, but there have been rumours that they will be re-releasing the 9700 with more RAM and only that one will get OS6. That will suck considering I JUST got the 9700 a few weeks ago. Guess we'll have to wait and see for sure.

Reading the Crackberry rumour threads the screen is leaving me wanting a bit compared to the other phones. The rest sounds really good Screen size is rumoured to be a little small at 3.25" and resolution a tad low at 480x360.
I am definately waiting to buy a smart phone until this and the new Galaxy are out.

Thanks, I pretty much have all those Apps and they are great.
Is there any reason that most of the free Apps don't work or do what they say they do? you'd think BB wouldn't want fake apps on that getjar site. It's annoying downloading a App only to find out its a bologna App.

Of course RIM doesn't want fake apps on any site. However if it is a site that is not owned by RIM, how could they possibly have that control?
This is why people need a closed system like the iPhone. They think that just because something is available on some website that it is ok to install on thier phones, because it must be controlled by RIM, right? If you are concerned about downloading a fake app that might be doing something else to your phone than what you intended, maybe you should stick to the RIM website to get those apps, Blackberry App World.

If anyone here is a baseball fan I highly recommend MLB At Bat 2010. For only $15 you can listen to every single MLB game and choose the feed you want to listen to. As well you can follow the game pitch by pitch. It also has a screen that you can follow every game with real time scoring. Another bonus is the video feature that has up to the minute highlights.

Thinking of getting the Bold. Which one should I get if I was to get one the 9000,9500, or the 9700?

The 9700 is definitely the best one and I 100% recommend it over the others.

9800 is rumoured to be released in the States on August 3rd. Shouldn't be too long till it hits Canada if you can hold out.

You can't go wrong with the 9700 but I would hold out for the 9800. Can't wait till it is released/

Only one I've owned in the 9700. Not sure, but I haven't heard anything bad about it. Why not get a Bold 9700 or wait for the 9800?
