We can't make enough bumpers, so we will offer a choice of cases. You can apply on our website late next week. Pick a case, zoom, we'll send it off to you.

Actually a good idea.
Especially if the problem is as small as he says.

What I'd like to see is dropped calls vs each type of phone. It might be the same as the 3GS, but is it the same as the other phones he showed, for the same areas.
Because signal strength and density of phones in each area is a factor as well.

We made ours incredibly visible, and we screwed up by making the reaction more visible than it needed to be."

I would LOVE to see the same type of data be collected on the Verizon network, or here in Canada with Telus, Bell or Rogers.
Apple made a serious mistake signing the exclusive deal with AT&T.

So now it's back to the "Do I replace my iPhone 3G with the 4 and renew the contract for another three years or wait till next year and get a Driod". I'm guessing a lot of people have that question (though time frames are different).

You can already get a Droid.
If you live in Canada, especially in Alberta where we have amazing coverage I don't think the antenna will be a problem at all.

To me it's a no-brainer, I still get an iPhone 4, and a free case too.
Partly because there's no other phone I'd want on Fido and I don't want to spend full amount for the phone.

q: What you showed in the pictures of the other phones is a whole hand kind of grip; what you see with the iphone is just touching with a single finger.

A: When you make contact with the phone, you put your body between the phone and the signal it's trying to see. Your body is a pretty effective signal absorber. When you make contact with the phone, its performance is less than that of its free space performance.

More about the Bloomberg article.

Sorry, I meant something like the HTC Evo or the Desire HD. One of the fancier phones. I've actually not looked into the phones currently available in Canada (save for the Nexus One) to see how good/bad they are.

If I hold my blackberry wrong I can make it go from 5 bars to 2 or 1. I wonder if RIM will give me a free case.
