So all the people in the photo will get charged with something? That isnt even for sure. Just because their photo is on the wanted list doesnt necessarily mean they will all be charged. That being said I dont condone property damage. I didnt know you could get charged for standing on the hood of the police car, and how do they know for sure it was the same person that torched it>

Huh? I may be wrong, but I am presuming that since they are the police's "Most Wanted List", and that they have photographic evidence of them doing these things, that they are going to be charged.
I must have missed the logic somewhere today.

Really? You are standing upon the hood of a police car, I am sure you are just planning to do it gently. Stand on the hood of anyone's car - besides your own - and see what happens

Hurry up already and throw on your black mask, flip and burn some government property, and post your own photo to the police facebook album so they can arrest you.

P.S. As a tax payer that car is part of your property. You should be just as pissed about having to replace it as the rest of us.

They weren't violently protesting because of how much money was being spent, they had to spend that much money because of the violent protests
get rid of the idiot violent protesters (most of whom are professional anarchists and not even from Toronto) and it takes away the need to spend

Actually, I love how any public complaint about the billion dollars on security completely disappeared when the nutbars brought out the masks and started smashing and lighting things on fire. I'm sure the liberals/genuine protesters did as well.
It's kinda like the argument that the existance of fences/security/police are a "provocation" which justifies (additional) violence on behalf of the protesters. You know, the "but they started it by you know, being there wearing their protective gear that you know, prevents us from beating on them."

This is awesome! A new sh*t disturber on CP makes for great summer reading...
Back on topic, at least they're going after the anarchists now, not people crossing the street in the vicinity of anarchists.

I can't believe you guys are having a pissing match over a burning cop car when we throw $160 million tax dollars out the window every day to interest payments on our national debt.
Our government dumping a billion dollars on some police state security measures is brought to you by the "war on terror".

What do you prefer they do when they need money?
"I'm sorry Canada is broke and I'm a free country on this land that will not follow the bank's corrupt rules and I refuse to pay interest rates on the money I need to run this country, so if you'll excuse me while I try to see if doctors and nurses will accept monopoly money "

I laughed at this one:
If he didn't smoke he'd probably never get caught. There are a bunch of photos of him with his mask on, but he took it off to have a cigarette. Hope it was a good one!

Thiery Henry's bad season at Barcelona got a lot worse. Good to see he acclimatized himself to North American life before signing in New York.
Hopefully all of these cowards, and any others that pop up on film, get made prime examples of and their crimal records reflect their cowardly acts, in the name of some supposed misguided social justice, for the rest of their lives.

Most of these hoodlums are too dumb and mediocre to be called terrorists.

I have to respond to this I can't bring myself to read the rest of your posts so I am sorry if this has already been covered.
1. The government represents the people as such the governments property is "public" property.
2. By useless things do you mean replacing police cars that have been distroyed by rioters as was the case in Toronto. And make no mistake these rioters only intention was to damage and distroy other peoples property and the people that will pay the price is the average citizen who have to pay the bill for the damage, small business owners who saw their establishments left in ruins and the citizens of Toronto who was their streets tarnished by a bunch of idiots wearing masks. Also please note that they are not protesters, they are rioters. I respect protesters in a lot of ways as long as they act in a peaceful manner, they are what is great about democracy in a lot of ways as they take interest in the way government works and try and make positive changes (positive in their minds at least). Rioters want to break stuff and cause trouble. Completely different.

Considering the only problem was these protestors I think the security was quite successful.

The thing I've often wondered about these G8/G20 meetings is 1) why they publicise them so much and 2) why they hold them in major centres? I thought the summit held out in Kananaskis was a great idea as it limited where the "protesters" could go.
I think they should hold these out in remote places and just invite whatever media they want in. Maybe for the next one they could hold it on a ship in the middle of the North Pacific Gyre. The delegates could then spend their off hours picking plastic out of the ocean.
