If Sam had done anything other than stand there it was a incomplete and if he put in half the effort of the DB he would have caught it easily.

Throw was behind the receiver as his body was moving away from the throw. Did you not see Burris's reaction after the pick. He knew it was a bad throw. Suter was wrong on the call as the DB didn't go after the throw. He barely moved as he was behind the play, it just happened so was the throw.

It doesn't matter what Suitor says I watched the play and saw how the DB made the move to get the ball.

It wasn't a great throw but again an easy play for Sam to make to stop the INT and even catch the ball.

It was actually 2 times late in the game that I saw PK Sam just standing and waiting for the ball. I agree with Moon, PK Sam should have done a better job at least trying.

If Huf is really serious about his threat, I can see Barker and Hufnagel working on a trade right now. Mike Labinjo to Toronto for a roster player or a draft pick. I sure hope Labinjo will stay as a Stampeder.

As good a season Labinjo had a couple years back, he had weight issues last year, then an injury, and clearly hasn't gotten back into the right frame of mind or the coaches good books.

This is the CFL...players can go from hero to almost zero in two years, and reputation and name doesn't save them as it may in some other leagues....perfect example of this was John Grace a few years back.

And yeah, this is the CFL. With 18 games, the first 6 usually work out the kinks, and you can go back every year and people are saying the Stamps aren't good enough after the first 3 games, no matter the record.

Thing is, they're not in the NFL. Win more games than you lose, then win one or two games and your in the championship. And the talent level and parity in the league is pretty close, no matter what Sask fans say about their dynasty team.

Ripping apart the QB position and wildly changing game plans at this very early point in a long season does no one any good as said, it takes a least a month to get in the groove for any team.

Jermaine Jackson deserves a legitimate look - I don't understand why the Stamps just gave the SB job to P.K. Sam anyways when from all reports Jackson was dominant during training camp and Sam isn't exactly a proven performer.

And Rambo can't come back soon enough. For how much depth our receiving core has, they can never seem to step up and make the big first down catches to keep long drives alive with Rambo missing. It killed us last year and did so again tonight.

Those 6 or so easy drops were killer. Not only did they kill drives, but you could tell that Burris was a different QB in the 2nd half and starting forcing throws because there was zero trust in the receievers making a play.

Finally, this team needs to get some creativity with their passing game. This game looked an awful lot like the Cortez (who is very overrated years). Hardly anything in the 0-10 yard passing game, hardly anything in the 20+ (in the air) yard passing game, and a ridiculous amount of throws in that 10-20 yard range. By the second half teams start keying on it and that's when the INTs came. Why is every other team in the league okay with using the short crossing route on 1st down as an easy way of picking up 4-6 yards when trying to mix things up with the run? The entire second half was 10+ yard throws on 1st down, and then they'd bring the house on 2nd and 10.

I don't think anyone said anything about ripping up anything. Henry was having a poor game and was rattled. A change of pace may have settled things down as all the Stampeders needed was a bit of ball control on offense and they would have won the game.

The game plan hasn't been working for over a year. The QB while still one of the best in the league when he's on his game is still too hot and cold. The offensive playcalling has been poor for a few years now as JayP said there are no deep balls to stretch the defense and not taking what the defense gives them with dinking and dunking. Worst of all it seems ever since Higgins took over the team they have been annually one of the most undisciplined teams in the league and seem to melt down far too often. Personal fouls is the hallmark of this team under Chris Jones defense.

You are right in that there is parity because BC and Edmonton have looked just as bad if not worse than the Stampeders but it's prett apparent that the Riders are the best prepared, most disciplined team in the Conference and entire league. It's going to be important for the Stampeders to win the head to head games with BC and Edmonton as the Riders really do look like the class of the Division.

It's ridiculous that the CFL has a team playing on the weekend then again on a Wednesday. Does the CFL schedule maker throw darts at a board? Do we really need a football game on a Wednesday when there is no NFL to play against?

It was a scheduling issue with Rogers Place.

Also, the CFL was the only professional sports league active on Wednesday. In previous years the league has been under pressure to schedule a game on that day and take advantage of the lack of sports.

yep, its tough on the teams, but marketing/money wise, its a good idea. i sure enjoyed watching football with my wings yesterday instead of baseball!
