Default Police release G20 "Most Wanted List" complete with photos

Quote:
Toronto police displayed the photos Wednesday of a “most wanted” list of people they allege took part in violence and vandalism during the G20 protests.

Det. Sgt. Gary Giroux explained Wednesday afternoon that the list was based on individuals they suspected cause some of the most serious damage during the weekend.

Giroux mentioned that investigators believe one of the men pictured at the conference was responsible for smashing fist-sized holes into a series of window panes in the Commerce Court complex, near King and Yonge Sts.

The photos, which were largely delivered to police stations by citizens, have been sent through face-identifying technologies, but police haven’t been able to identify any of them yet.

However Giroux is hopeful that by releasing the photos the public will help them figure out who took part in the violent vandalism on June 26.

Maybe put down the camera, and arrest the people?

To me it makes a lot more sense to take their pictures and deal with them later. You know, when there isn't a potential mob all around them.

Totally. They'd only have to sift through like 2 billion photos.

That's fair... considering if there's an angry mob around, and you're trying to arrest these guys... you'd have to take waaaaaay more pictures.

I do get your point...

That picture of the police car looks a lot like the picture that I took.

I don't think it is though

The article says pictures were submitted by regular citizens, not taken by the police.

They should cross reference the photos against the welfare recipients database.

Gotta love how the governement spends a billion dollars on security and this still happens.

Its no ones fault but the governement, if they condone spending that much money on protecting "leaders" and they allow a situation to arise like this its no ones fault but themselves.

I hope no one on the "wanted list" gets caught.

I hope they all get caught and the judge sentences them to sweep all the streets in Toronto with their toungues while a little person hits them in the genitals once every hour with a rock hammer.

Not sure if they do. Judging by the pictures some of those losers don't look very employable. I figured it'd be prudent for the cops to check there

Why because its the truth?
The government shelled out a billion dollars, when a small fraction of that could of done the job they were looking for.
A waste of a billion dollars that could of spent on something meaningful.
