I've always liked Arsenal as well. Nice free flowing football and Wenger is in the business of molding young players instead of buying the best old player.
/and he hates Brits!

Well that is the one thing I don't like about Wenger is there isn't exactly a great deal of english talent acquired (it could be debated there is a complete lack of english talent anyway). I like that the germans try to bring up their own players whereas english football consists of a money and names from anywhere but england. I don't know, me just venting I suppose.
**** Barcelona.......that feels better. Still think Wenger needs to add to the back, too thin as it sits. Would love to see another midfielder with some steel to his game as Arsenal tend to get kicked around the park in away games. Time for a trophy this season!
In today's transfer gos, Artur Boruc has joined Fiorentina and has allegedly made it clear that he is there to be the first choice. With Frey having been a loyal servant and shown that he is good enough to start for France, what will this mean for the French shot-stopper? Does this pave the way for a move to Emirates?
In related news, according to The Sun Fulham have slapped a £4m price-tag on Schwarzer.
Personally, I'd like to see Arsene sign a keeper like Frey. He is a highly-rated keeper but not one that is going to break the bank and he fits in well with Arsenal's short and long-term keeper situation. They need a proven keeper who can do the job well but at the same time not block the path for Szczęsny. The price for Schwarzer is simply too much for a stop-gap solution and, to be honest, I don't even rate him that high.

Arsenal were comfortable winners over League Two Barnet in their opening pre-season match.
Goals from Andrey Arshavin, two from Jay Simpson and a second-half strike from Samir Nasri gave Arsene Wengers side the victory.
In their traditional pre-season curtain raiser against Barnet at Underhill, Arsene Wenger gave an Arsenal debut to new signing, Laurent Koscielny, who partnered Thomas Vermaelen at the heart of Arsenal's defence.

Samir Handanovic Agent Confirms Goalkeeper Would Be Open To Arsenal Move - But Club Have Yet To Show Any Interest
It's All Speculation At The Moment...
16 July 2010

Premier League giants Arsenal have yet to make a formal approach for Udinese goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, the player's agent has confirmed.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is apparently looking for a goalkeeper to compete with Manuel Almunia and Lukasz Fabianski next season, and Slovenian international Handanovic's name has been mentioned.
Arsene Wenger insists Cesc Fabregas loves Arsenal and says speculation linking him with a move to Barcelona "has to stop".
Talk over the move has been a constant in the media throughout the summer since Fabregas revealed he was keen to return to Camp Nou, with former Barca president Joan Laporta and his successor, Sandro Rosell, both talking up the move.
Barca players including Lionel Messi, Xavi and Andres Iniesta have spoken of their desire to see the deal go through, while Gerard Pique and Carles Puyol put a Barcelona shirt on the player following Spain's World Cup success.
Arsene Wenger has indicated there is little chance of Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer joining Arsenal and confirmed William Gallas and Mikael Silvestre will move on.
rsenal have been linked with a £4 million move for Schwarzer, 37, after having reportedly had a £2 million offer rejected.
When asked whether he was interested in a deal, though, Wenger said: "Not really. We are still looking at various situations, but I would not like to come out on any individuals.

Arsenal striker Eduardo is on the verge of leaving Emirates Stadium for Shakhtar Donetsk in a £6 million deal, according to reports in the British and Croatian press.
Losing Eduardo wouldn't be too bad, because he has yet to find the form he had before the devastating injury. And with Bendtner, Chamakh and Vela all there for that central striker role, I can see 6 million being enough.
Apparently this new CB Koscinley is a little bit small and tentaive, based on the notes from that first game.
I would like to see Arsenal add a keeper and another defender.
I will post some pictures from my Emirates tour once I get home, what a beautiful stadium.
It's a bit saddening to see Eduardo go like this but it's best for both player and club. Hopefully the similar situation Ramsey finds himself in will have a better, and not premature, ending.
In regards to the larger gaps that need to be filled, it's nice to hear Arsene recognize that he stills needs to bring in another CB and sort out the keeper situation. I've heard that there are rumours that Alumnia missed Saturday's match because he was talking with potential suitors similar to how Eduardo was. One can only hope!

I thought the following was an interesting read. One player who I would add is Per Mertesacker; even though he is young he seems experienced and would bring loads of much needed height to the Emirates.

William Gallas, the Frenchman and the solid Arsenal central back, has become a free agent which has marked the end of his days in Arsenal.
While Arsene Wenger's squad has enjoyed the benefits of the experienced centre back for nearly four years (since his transfer from Chelsea), it is time that Wenger looks for an absolute replacement to fill the hole in his defense.

Croatia boss Slaven Bilic has confirmed Arsenal striker Eduardo is set to join Shakhtar Donetsk.
Widespread reports on Monday said Eduardo would move to Shakhtar in a £6 million deal, and Bilic has now backed the Brazil-born Croatia international to succeed in the Ukraine.
Further to their hugely debated involvement at this summer's World Cup Finals in South Africa, Arsenal Football Club has decided to forbid the use of vuvuzelas within Emirates Stadium with immediate effect.
Arsenal Football Club is delighted to announce that the stands at Emirates Stadium are to be re-named for the start of the new Premier League season.
As part of the overall ‘Arsenalisation' process currently taking place at Emirates Stadium, the Club has decided to re-introduce the names of the stands from Arsenal's old stadium, Highbury.
From the first home Premier League match of the 2010/2011 season against Blackpool on Saturday 21st August, the stands at Emirates Stadium will be known as: Clock End, North Bank, East Stand and West Stand.

Arsenal can confirm that Eduardo has joined Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk for an undisclosed fee.
Eduardo (27), who signed for Arsenal from Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb in July 2007, made a total of 67 appearances, scoring 20 times in all competitions for the Gunners.
