The new goggles also do nothing.

Default Lego Harry Potter

Anyone else give this a try? I have only played the first year and started the second (there's 4 covered in the game), but it's great so far.

I really liked the Lego Star Wars, and so far I'm liking this one even more. The graphics are nicer, and there's a lot more variation since you gain spells as you play the game. So rather than just "use the force on this glowey object", there's a bunch of different things you can do, and each area will have things for many different spells, so part of the fun is going back to areas you've already done with a new spell or ability. Which they do in Lego Star Wars to some extent with the different characters, but this feels much smoother and less tedious.

They also have an excellent game mechanic for progressing to the next thing to do.. rather than a Cantina with a bunch of doors marked I II III the events take place all over the castle, which is big, and new areas unlock as you progress.. but it's not annoying because whenever you enter an area there'll be a lego ghost that'll drop ghost lego pieces in a trail.. follow the trail and you get to your next plot related destination. So you can explore as much as you want and not worry about remembering what you had to do next! Very very cool.

Lots of fun. If you aren't a fan of the books/movies though it'll be hard to follow the plot, since there's no talking. They do a lot with the animation to help, but there's only so much you can do.

Overall lots of fun so far.

My gf is playing it right now, she's going through it a 2nd time to find all the secrets.

Apparently the little video snippets are awesome.

Is this on the Wii also? My son and I love playing Lego Indiana Jones.

My son and I played through LEGO Batman together and he absolutely loved it. We're playing LEGO Star Wars now but Indiana Jones and Harry Potter will both be on the play list down the road.

The Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga is my favorite of all the lego games. Indy is good as is Batman, but the Star Wars Saga is the best.

I always wondered if you can build your own stuff? Like in real Lego?
