Some folks are still bitter about high school and let that bother them almost 10 years later.

Since when is McMaster considered "prestigious"?

With marks like that I'd expect the US Ivy League to be courting her aggressively. Or at least one of the bigger name schools in Canada.

I agree, as long as what she wants to do can be done within a kitchen.

That's your idea of high school? Wearing shirts and knowing song lyrics?

I remember the good parties, the crazy shenanigans, having a summer without being in the office, etc.

Of course you would, with a nickname like that.

I wouldn't be surprised if the offers and scholarships come rolling in now with this media attention.

Yeah good call. In Hong Kong however they DO have to study 6-8 hours a day. it's flipping insane. My niece who is 9 years old is studying till 11pm every nite. and she has classes on Saturdays.

Meh, I got 100% on my Math Diploma exam while barely studying, doing homework, or even opening up the math textbook for the whole class.

I hated it when classes have you hand in your homework - I understood everything the first time, I don't need to do the same problem 20 times to understand it.

We need to let kids be kids, they shouldn't have barely any homework until junior high, and never have a certain number of hours every day that they should be studying. We spedn WAYYY to much of our lives working instead of playing, why make it even less by filling our formative years with work?

I could've studied 2 hours a day in HS and pulled in 100s too.

I opted for the study 0 hours ever approach, and was pretty satisfied with my 85s.

I went from mid-70s in high school to mid-90s in university. It's all about the material and how much it attracts you as a student.

Hmmm I wasn't commenting on YOUR life in particular, merely your automagical insinuation/assumption/extrapolation that her highschool years would be her “best.”
