No idea, they said someone will call at some point, as long as it gets fixed someday. It's hardly visible.
I just wonder if they're going to get tired of us, just had the deer thing then this lol.

Most if not all insurance companies need to take quality photos of hail damage. They need proper lighting to have it show up in the photos properly. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the major ones set up more temporary services to help process claims. But to call when thousands of others are calling and expect things done right now just wont happen. They don't have hundreds of people sitting around waiting for a hail storm
Best bet is to give it a couple of days to put in the claim. Less hold time and maybe they will have an action plan in place to help with the high influx of hail damage claims.

I happened to be home about 20 minutes after it hit my area. I wiped down my car a bit to inspect, and called right away. Otherwise I doubt I would have gotten through at all.
Hail damage on cars royally sucks, it's about the worst thing that can happen sans a major accident. In some ways it is worse, you can replace a corner or a panel or two, but when the damage is everywhere, ugh.

Why god why do people use everything else BUT a golfball when putting something into a picture to show scale. Surely someone must have a golfball lying around at this time of the year!

I live right by the university and walking home from university station it looked like my whole nieghborhood was hit by effing frag grenades. peoples widows smashed....trees everywhere. My car looks like i just drove through downtown Baghdad with a sign that said "America Rules!".i would have to get the entire outerbody of my car fixed/replaced.

You can expect insurance rates to go up after all these claims get settled.
Are any of you planning on taking the money and not fixing your cars? That's a option, but you will no longer be covered for future hail damage to your car.

I was parked at the park n ride at 17th and Sarcee, didn't even look like rain touched my car. The streaks on the hood and dust on the windshield looked to be in exactly the same place it was when I left it in the morning. Just got insanely lucky I think.

Sorry to hear it, your car was in probably the worst hit area. I live in Brentwood, a bit behind Brentwood mall/plaza. I looked at a few other cars on my street, some are much worse than mine. My dents are fairly small except for a couple. Maybe the newer cars have thinner sheet metal in places, not sure. But a Civic for example was completely brutalized, deep dents, car looks like the surface of the moon. A rusty old 70's American car in my back lane that is mostly abandoned is fine, no dents. How ironic.

I was by the ramp the weather modification aircraft stage out of around 11:30am, there was only 1 of the aircraft on the ramp at that time. I would be very surprised if they didn't go up and seed that cloud.

According to the news last night, they had three planes seeding the storm over Calgary and two more to the north around Didsbury.
Awesome pics, Kevanguy!
And man am I glad we just got heavy rain but no hail where I work. As cool as the hail storm would be to witness, it probably would have written off my POS car.

A lot of people have posted stuff like this, so I'm not picking on you, but what's the point of a post like this on a forum full of people whose cars were badly damaged? Do you go up to homeless people and tell them how happy you are that you just ate a delicious dinner?
Having said that, I am glad that we don't have hail storms like that over here in Connecticut.
