Default Paintless Dent Removal

To go with the hail thread....

My brand new A4 got smoked downtown a few times...not a tonne of dents, but I can see a few dimples.

What paintless dent places do you guys recommend? Any mobile places that are any good?

Thanks!

Copy and paste from hailstorm thread. I looked after you when you bought out your GTI BTW. He is really good with German cars. He looks after us and Audi.

Call Ernie at DNT.

And do it quick, as he will be booked solid for a couple months if you don't get in soon.

He is probably the best guy in town for paintless dent removal.

DNT
426 Memorial Drive Northwest
Calgary, AB T2E4Y7
(403) 262-9660

If you guys have the option to use this type of service, absolutely do it.

A) It is a 1/3 of the price.

B) If done correctly, it is virtually undectable that repairs have been done. Anyone that knows anything about cars, can tell if repainting has been done, no matter how good of a body shop you use.

There are a few other companies that provide paintless dent repair, but there is a reason half the car dealers in the city use Ernie / DNT.

Hopefully I get a referral cheque from them...lol.

You can also call Dent Clinic too. They have been around for ages as well.

Either way, these guys basically just saved on any advertising costs for the next 6 months. Every dent technician in calgary is going to have nightmares tonight about the phone carnage tommorow though.

And to answer Amorak, yes they are approved. Any way the insurance co. can save on repairs, they will look at it. Depending on your deductable, you may be farther ahead to just pay cash. A $1000 tab will cover a ton of damage with paintless dent removal.

When did you call/set up the appointment?

The deductible depends on your policy. Mine does not, but they vary.

Great news guys.

Ernie from DNT was just in here surveying the damage, and when he walked past my office, I was posting in this thread and showed it to him. I managed to set up a discount for CP'ers.

Mention the code "pucker" and he will give you 10% off.

If you can't get through to the phone, email him and he will set up a time to survey the damage.

His email is dnt_inc@telusplanet.net

Hope this helps you guys out.

I've tried calling a couple of times, impossible to get through. Either get the machine, or one time it sounded like someone picked up the phone and put it right back down.

I'll try and swing by there later, I imagine they are being absolutely swamped.

Luckily, I avoided hail damage, however I have a couple of door dings that are annoying me...

Do you know how he charges? Is it per dent, per hour? Do you know what about they charge per hour?

Thanks Pylon!

Go to Contemporary Coachworks. They have one of the best guys in the business for paintless dent removal.

22 Street Northeast, Calgary - (403) 250-1728
or 107 Avenue Southeast, Calgary - (403) 237-8833
The south shop is stunning, and the staff at both are super awesome to deal with.

That's on the list of the companies my insurance recommends. I'm with Canadian Direct BTW, so far they have been very good to deal with. They promptly returned my call, and the nice lady emailed me within a few minutes after she said she would.

I've never put in a claim before with them, so I don't know if my experience is typical.

I just come back from Contemporary Coachworks (South) to fix my dents on my C350. Wow very good job after fixing it just like brand new and they wash and clean up my car before I pick up A+++++. Other dents shop might be good too. But I am very happy for their workmanship and the staffs are very helpful.
