Simulation: Spain to win 2010 World Cup
http://videogames.yahoo.com/events/p...ld-cup/1401069
Quote:
According to most experts, the result this year's FIFA World Cup will likely come down to a toss-up between closely matched favorites Spain and Brazil.
But ask EA's best-selling 2010 FIFA World Cup, and you'll get a more precise answer: the rivals will meet in a nailbiting final game that sees Brazil take a 30th minute 1-0 lead -- only to be beaten by their European adversaries 3-1.

I put no faith in sims anymore as all the EA simulations after 2004 done by the hockey media said the Flames were going to win the cup and we never did. Sims are all statistical probablity based on defined simple mathematical rules.
Real sports is all about luck and quantum mechanics.

Probably because Spain is rated so high in being the winners of their last Euro Cup, which imo, doesn't mean much when going in.

If those 2 teams were to meet it couldn't be in the final anyway. They're on the same sie of the bracket. Semi Final at the latest.

Incorrect, there's no such thing as 'sides of the bracket' until after the group stage. If both win their groups, as expected, they are on opposite sides of the knockout phase draw.

I stand corrected. They could play each other in the final. The match ups cross over at the semifinal stage. They won't be on opposite sides of the knockout phase though. Brazil is in Group G and Spain is in group H. They could play each other in the round of 16.

That wasn't the only simulation going on related to the World Cup Final, I'll say that much.

Where was Brazil? There are only so many good top tier World Cup teams. Picking one of them has a higher probabilility of being right than Eklund.

After watching all of the Germany games except vs Spain, and watching the final....#1 How did Germany lose to Spain and #2, Germany should/would/could have destroyed either team. Oh well.....
