I tried it a an hour ago, and it was awesome. It was $11.50 for a single burger, fries and a chocolate shake.

Although, the guy forgot to charge for the fries, then when I explained to the girl that I ordered fries at the other end, she just gave me fries and said sorry. But as I walked back to my car, my conscience got the better of me and I went back and paid for the fries.

It's just kind of weird that the first guy says the burgers are dry at Rocky's and then mentions this other place as being awesome. Then when GreatWhiteEbola says he didn't like this place, another poster comes on and tells GreatWhiteEbola to go back and try the beefdip and also takes a shot at Rocky's.

It just seems a little suspicious, especially considering both posters claim Rocky's is kind of dry, when every other person you talk to on the planet thinks they're awesome burgers, and then they both go out of there way to pump up/defend some random other place.
I've been to that beef place and hated it. Got some sort of cold sliced beef on a bun, it was supermarket quality prepacked deli beef, extremely salty.

Oh man, they better be. I've been meaning to try this place but the limited hours always made it difficult. I've got the day off tomorrow and thanks to this thread I'm planning to give it a try.

Anyone ever try the Chuckwagon Cafe down in Turner Valley? http://patentandthepantry.wordpress....erfect-burger/

Been to the Chuckwagon Cafe a bunch of times, but always for breakie. Very good grub, and I regret not getting lunch when I was there.

Wow, just tried Rocky's, burger seems pretty dry, but on completely unrelated note, has anyone tried a little cheesesteak place on McLeod? I hear really good things, everyone should go there.

So again, Rocky's = dry burger, Cheesesteak place = teh awesome!

Please go there, and ask for Just.....er, I don't work there, nevermind.

Also, if cheese steak isn't good, come back for beefdip. Our beefd....I mean, their beefdip is not a dry burger.

Last week they had a sign up saying they would be closed for Canada Day. On Monday when I went there was no sign up for Parade Day.

I think they would be open; there's no reason for them not to be open on a sunny Friday in the middle of summer.

i regret making this thread now. i live in Chestermere and i have the next 3 days off from work, and now everytime i check this forum i see this thread and can't stop thinking of how badly i want another burger

that would be a lengthy drive just for a burger and fries, but it just might need to be done

EDIT: and now i realize the irony in screwing myself over even more by bumping this thread to the top

I had heard good things about CB Hamburger Inn. I was sorely disappointed. The fries have more salt than potato. And the burgers are poor quality.

Oooh, you caught me Sherlock.

Did I say one should eat at one place over the other? No, I didn't, I was just giving my opinion. I really like Rocky's and think it's a very good burger, one of the better ones in town, but I do think it's kind of like your mom, and by that I mean a little dry and by dry, I mean overdone.

I still go to Rocky's about twice a month, but I honestly I prefer the beef dip place over Rocky's. No conspiracy,I don't work for the beef shack, try both, I don't really care, as they're both great.

In the future, you might want to make sure you have replaced your paper hat from you day job with your tinfoil hat before you log on to the internets.

Name calling in a thread about hamburgers?

Dear Lord, let the season start already!

Back on topic - I have never been disappointed with the Burger Bus. I wish they would do something about the wasps though, because those tiny winged beasts of terror freak me out.

Just missed you. A few of us bolted down from work for burgers. Bacon cheeseburger awesomeness.

How the heck anyone can think the burgers are dry is beyond me. The burgers aren't dry, they just have a crisp outer crust that comes from a proper searing. When I bit the burger a stream of burger juice squirted all over my monitor. Pretty dry, eh?

If you like a mouth full of salad dressing with quite a bit of bun + a little bit of mystery beef, I recommend trying this burger called the Big Mac.

Are you sure the "stream of burger juice" actually squirted from the hamburger? You seem pretty 'jacked' about the whole thing....
