I am cool. Why? Because I pre-ordered from gamestop and did not care that I did not receive a beta key.

Well, since the beta returned, the AI is MUCH improved it seems. Or maybe I'm just that bad at Starcraft... Anyone having problems beating the AI on coop mode?

Except AI cheats. I'm not sure for other difficulties but at least for Insane, they get 7 per mineral instead of 5.

Edit: Also, I remember reading how AI will no longer know where you are without scouting but I don't think this is the case. I had couple zealots on top of a cliff waiting to ambush the AI's SCV scout but as soon as my zealot moves closer to the SCV, it backs off and and soon as I move em back, it tries to come up the ramp. But either way, it can obviously see through the fog so you can't really ambush the Insane computers.

Yesterday, 1v1 was down for me so I've played some coop against insane and they destroyed me. So I decided how difficult it would be to 1v1 them. Damn insane should be called impossible. So I tried 1 level down which is Very Hard and I must say it was pretty damn easy and the game ended in less than 10 minutes. The difficulty jump from Very Hard to Insane is just ridiculous.

Hence the name: Insane!

Who else has had to cancel their WoW accounts or sign up a trial to log in?

So I've finally gotten around to looking to pre-order SC2.... anyone know of any decent pre-order deals still out there? Probably missed the boat on most, but I was wondering if there's anything cheaper than $59.99 still lurking about??

Thanks!!

EDIT: As an aside, anyone made a "Stay Off The Grass!" custom map for battle.net BETA yet? I loved that stupid game for WC3 haha...

The new trailer is pretty cool. If the story of the campaign is told mostly through cinematics like this...wow.

I was thinking about getting this game. Not for the multiplayer but for the single player. What I liked about Blizzard games in the past is that they seemed to go out of their way to make some really good user manuals that had back story and previous story information in it. Have they commented about this or does anyone have any idea if they will continue the trend? The reason I ask is because if it's going to be a standard 10-15 page manual I'd rather just get the digital version. I might just have to wait till the game comes out before my question gets answered I'm thinking.

The only good trailer was the Wrath of the Lich King one, out of all the WoW trailers. I guess I think that only because it had an actual story to go by, whereas the others are just random scenes for the most part, nothing coherent. Hell, Diablo 2 had better cinematics than Vanilla WoW and Burning Crusade.

The in-game cinematic when you kill the Lich King is also much better than the Wrath Gate, again...story. And lava man bolvar.

You might have to buy the Collector's Edition to get what you want. Also, remember, this game is only the Terran campaign.

Will I be able to walk into a Futureshop or Best Buy and pick up this game off the shelf when it comes out or do I have to go through the pre-order nonsense?

You don't even have to step into a store. You can purchase and download Starcraft 2 all online.

But I am sure they'll have a TON of copies in stores.

That Collector Edition looks sexy, and I may not even play the game!

Im showing up at future shop when it opens on release day. I figure thats probably easiest. Preordering is sketchy, I've had friends preorder and get their copy weeks after I walked into the store and purchased.
