The guy before Kevin Eubanks:

Legendary saxophonist Branford Marasalis was the musical director of the Tonight Show for 2 years at the beginning and Kevin worked under him. Here he comes back as a guest and gives Kevin a rare chance to actually shine, something that almost never happened to him on the show.

Man, this show used to be so good.

Man, the first Tonight Show band was so classy. So sick!

A good article on Eubanks. As a huge fan of music, jazz, blues, funk, etc. this really makes me want to actually hear his stuff

While Conan’s show will air at 11 p.m. on TBS, CTV won’t show Conan until 1 a.m., Monday to Thursday.
However, CTV indicated there’s a good chance the Conan show will air earlier in the evening on the Comedy Network, too.

Just got back from Conan in DC! Such an awesome show! I can't wait till he's back on tv.

By the way, "Walker told me I have AIDS."

So is that 1am EST? And the Comedy Channel isn't HD, is it? God why did NBC have to screw up so royally?

It'll be HD on CTV I'm sure.

Crappy for others who don't get the east feed
I remember the ol' days of staying up late to watch Conan. Looks like they are back again.

I don't care how late Conan is on. It's better then watching Leno, Lettermen or Kimmel.

Although Kimmel is getting better, lately.

The Tonight Show has been nominated for an EMMY.

The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brian that is.

I laughed at Conan's twitter today:

"Congrats to my staff on 4 Emmy nominations. This bodes well for the future of The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien."

Article on the debacle that is now late night tv.

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/08/ar...latenight.html

Leno's down a lot, but everyone is down at least some. At least we can blame the sudden inception of DVR's and technology for this one, but with Conan, it's because he sucked apparently.

And while Mr. Leno has brought back about 1.5 million viewers compared with Mr. O’Brien’s tenure, the median age of his viewers has crept up to 55.6 from 46.6.
What? You mean the only people that find Leno funny are the old-timers? Hey, did you know Clay Aiken is gay?

I have read that Leno's ratings are pretty much the same as Conan's were for 18-49 but the show costs 10-15 million more a year now.

Nice work NBC.
