The thing I hate about this time of year is that the NBA seems to get more coverage on the major sports outlets than they did during the damn playoffs and finals. Seriously...in an hour long Sportscenter, seemingly about 30 minutes of it is devoted to Lebron and the rest of the egotistical gang of free agents. Yesterday the Bosh signing in Miami, the subsequesnt "what does this mean for Lebron", and then the trickle down for other FA's was the lead story, the second story, the third story. Only then did it get to the semi-final of the WC, baseball games actually being played etc. Its mind numbing.
As for James, he is going to Miami or NY IMO. No other reason to hold an hour long PC, especially if he is staying in Cleveland.
After tonights spectacle...it will continue for a couple weeks. You simply cant get away from it.

I also don't think that team would win.
Who can shoot consistently? Who can rebound consistently?
Sure, all they'd do is slash all day and pretend it's the all star game, but that doesn't win championships.

Also who else is going to be on that team? If Lebron signs then they would only have (assuming no sign and trade for Bosh) Beasley, Chalmers, Bosh, James and Wade under contract with no money for anyone else. I don't care how good your starting 5 is and chalmers at PG isn't going to impress anyone. If you have not a single bench player that can contribute you are screwed.

Anyone but Miami, hell I'll easily become a Lakers fan, just in hopes this team doesn't make it. Still not going to be anybody to rebound with McSoft Bosh at the 4 spot and no legit big man.

This is why I don't watch the NBA anymore. It's not about the sport, it's all about the players and their 'me' first attitudes. This while James announcement thing is one of the most disgusting self promotional acts I've ever seen. I'm just happy that it will be over with today so I don't have to hear about where he's going anymore.

Looks like he's going to Miami.

Maybe it's just me.. but I don't think Lebron's ego will let him to go Miami (and I'm saying this as a guy that actually respects Lebron).
For a guy that calls himself "The King" and constantly talks about how he wants to fill Jordan's shoes.. I can't see him going to Miami. He goes there and he shares any potential win with two other huge names in Wade and Bosh. That's not 'his' team. The purists and historians would look back on any Miami win and tarnish it because of this whole 2010 UFA process.
I think Lebron's competitive spirit takes him somewhere else... I can't decipher between Chicago, NY, and Cleveland.. I just don't think its Miami. I still think a Chicago team with Boozer, Rose, Noah and LBJ would be a scary, scary proposition.

I still think he stays in Cleveland, although on a short-term contract. And I think he's smart enough to keep it secret by telling a few 'trusted' people that he's going to Miami.
In less-significant news, the Raptors have signed Linas Kleiza to a $5 million-per year offer sheet. Denver can still match, but it would cost them $10 million, since they're over the cap. I think this is a great move... a very long small forward who plays hard and could be the glue guy that they've been missing since Garbajosa left.

Lebron is such a try hard Michael Jordan right down to his chaulking of the hands routine. My pick is Cleveland!

I think Cleveland. It would be a real slap in the face to hold a one hour live show if it wasn't going to be Cleveland.
This could be worse for the City than The Drive, or The Fumble.

It's going to be boring if it's going to take an hour for him to say "I'm going to (Miami/New York)".

I guess he's going to answer pretty early on in the show. Be disgusting if he was joined by Bosh and Wade on tv during it.

According to this article he will announce his decision in the first 10 minutes of the special

The Heat sold out their season tickets as of noon today, I would think something stronger than a rumor is at play to have people dish out that kinda cash without knowing something
