Vamos Uruguay! Forlan has been incredible.
Interesting to note that Paraguay's coach quit, Dunga was fired and Maradona's future is up in the air. Good tournaments for these South American teams but coaching changes none the less. Dunga definitely needed to go. Paraguay should hire Larissa Riquelme! :_)

I'm indifferent to which country gets to face Germany in the Final.

I don't mind the Dutch either but watching Robben (the biggest diver on the planet, anyone who says Ronaldo doesn't watch enough) is enough to make me hope they get blown out.
I see the Dutch winning fairly easily, but Forlan has been superb this tournament, and anything can happen.

Not saying that Robben doesn't dive, or that he's not the worst on the dutch (he is), but saying he's the worst on the planet...you must be reading the junk cbc has been publishing online. And actually this tourney he hasn't been too bad, every time i've watched him he's gone down, he's been touched (though admitadly sometimes he probably didn't have to go down, but most times it was solid contact made). Trust me I've watched all of The Netherland's games
Anyways...I agree that Forlan has looked strong, though he'll be keyed on today. I'm hoping that Van Persie can finally have a really strong game, he's looked ok so far, but I expected more. Also interested to see how both sides adjust their line ups with each missing two players from suspensions.

Unreal shot, just amazing.
There have been a lot of complaints about this ball but when you hit it right this thing takes off like a rocket.

Well, if anyone deserved to stay down after a bit of contact, that there would be it. Ouch.

Looks like he got KO'd there on the replay. Pretty dangerous play.
Getting a bit dirty out there.

Sweet Chin Music. Now there's a reason to stay down in agony.

How did Sneijder get a yellow out of that?

While watching thought I'd read up on Uruguay's first World Cup win in 1930.
If you think there has been controversy or drama in this one, I suggest you look up 1930.
What a crazy tournament. They only secured a referee 3 hours before the final when they agreed to have a boat waiting at the harbour so the Belgian referee could flee immediately after the game.
Most of the controversy seemed to involve the Argentines!

The URGay guy fell like a sack of potatoes in the scrum when Sneijder got close. Ref must not have seen it clearly.
