It's kind of funny how a thread about hipsters has exposed a new hybrid of pretentious doosh bags within this community.

Hipsters are pretentious.

Doucebags are too stupid to know better.

Those are the guidelines.

Last fall someone called me pretentious. I took it as a compliment.

The guy is Italian (i'm pretty sure anyway), so I would think he would have more of an European cut, but again, not totally sure.
He is most certainly Italian. To answer the question about cuts: if it's a bespoke suit there isn't necessarily a "cut" to work from. Bespoke is made from scratch so measurements are taken to fit your body type perfectly, it's not built from a preexisting model. "A made to measure" would work off of certain cuts and would be a little bit less expensive than a bespoke suit if you're interested in going this route. However, if he is quoting you under $2000 for a bespoke suit, that's a hell of a deal. The Nicolettis do fine work as well.

Yes, I suppose. I was just wondering how he made his suits.

Also, that is really, really awesome.

If you go and talk to him Peter, let me know how it goes. Or even if you buy something from him. I'd be interested to know.

We should ALL go buy suits together. It's the manly thing to do.

hah, well maybe we can all pool our money and buy one suit. With any luck, we're the exact same size.

I had a suit made by Giovanni for my wedding in January. I don't know a lot about suits, but I'm quite happy with it.

I think I paid about $1,100.

Speaking of thinks that feel try-hardy....dudes who wear toques in the summer, inside, or just as a fashion accessory. That really grinds me gears.
So what would you suggest someone who has to take the bus to school or work in the winter do? Wear a toque there and then take it off and walk around with messed up dirty looking hair?

I'm not following. I don't see anything manly about walking around looking like an ass with your hair a mess. I keep my toque on inside school in the winter time because its easy to just throw on a normal black toque and head off in the morning.

What is a Hipsters favourite number?
- I could tell you, but it is super obscure and you just wouldn't get it, so whatever.
