From my Western and Human point of view I'd say that she's not guilty, at least not guilty of the death penalty, because the jury, or judges, or government can't prove without a shadow of a doubt that she committed the crime.

It doesn't even matter what the crime is either.

I'm 99% sure that her killing has nothing to do with adultery. Most likely her husband (or some other male in the family) wants to get rid of her without shaming himself (getting a divorce).

The details just don't add up to anything else.

Sharia law regularly recommends death to offenders of certain laws.

But your somewhat right about the Qaran not being about the death penalty, but you are also somewhat wrong.
