Do you mean filling out the surveys or solliciting people to fill them out? If you mean the former then I recently did an extensive survey about my preferences for stuff ranging from TV viewing to deoderant to political views to internet usage and the newspapers I read.
They gave me a $25 cheque and I've already cashed it. I have yet to get bombarded with spam or any other solicitors.

I do surveys for Pinecone research - it's $5 for a detailed survey - nothing for the screening surveys. It's not much cash, but I enjoy it.

I was approached to do mine so beyond that it seemed legit I can't offer any more information. I am also interested though. Someone came to my door or I wouldn't have ever done it.
Are these types of surveys done online, hardcopy, over the phone? How does one sign up for them?

I think I only get one every couple of weeks - not every day. Sorry, I missed that you wanted this as a side job - Pinecone doesn't send stuff out often enough to make it profitable.

I have been doing the Ipsos Reid surveys on the Ipsos I-Say website now for about a year and have made over $400 (I typically do about 2 survey's per week). I have never received any junk mail from them and am quite pleased at the variety of the survey's offered. Another good thing about Ipsos I-Say is that you can redeem your points for cash whenever you want (you dont have to wait until you reach a certain amount). Plus, there are ALWAYS survey's available to do. Sometimes on Ipsos you can get lucky and get survey's that pay $50+, which is cool as well.

I have also tried Survey Lion which is good, but you only get 2-3 survey's a month and they typically only pay around $3 each, so its not really worth it from a monetary standpoint.

That is kinda what I'm looking for.
So you can do as many as you want? I might just do them as a side job, say a couple per week like you are.
Be pretty interesting.

No thats fine.
I'm not looking to make my living from this. Just looking to make a little extra cash.

Yeah, I do two or three a week. Only a couple times have I actually run out of survey's to do and by the next day there were more available. The website is set up very well in that you can see all of the survey's available to you and how long they take to do as well as how many points you will receive for doing them. You can easily see how many points you have and check out all of the prizes (including cash) that you can get by redeeming the points.
Like I said, sometimes you get lucky and get a high paying survey. I got one a few months back where it basically just asked me to track my purchases over a three day span and then tell them what percentage I paid cash, debit or credit. The survey gave me 5000 points ($50 worth).

The Angus Reid Forum is what I have been using. It took a while, but I earned a $50 cheque after several months, taking maybe 2 or 3 surveys a month.
Edit: Last year, I also won a $100 Amazon.ca giftcard from a draw they had.

Should be interesting.

How do I figure out what my password is on the Ipos site?
I have signed up already, but I can't login because I was never asked for a password, or provided with one.

I did a little background checking on I-Say (and alike), found an interesting write-up on a blog. I can't specifically vouch for the info, but it seems reasonable and well written.

Same thing with me. I signed up and took the first survey but they haven't sent me my login info yet.
