Anybody go to this show last night? I tried to get tickets, but it was sold out. It had the makings for being show of the year in Calgary. Was it?

Well, it was pretty much what I was expecting: one of, if not, the greatest musical experience of my life. It was absolutely euphoric. I was very concerned about them being tired out after a year+ of touring, but they played the show as though it was their first show back after a 6 month break. Wolf Parade was amazing as well, and Belle Orchestre was stunning. Sean

Jesus, that was the best show of my life. I'm glad I waited this long to seen them. It was worth every penny and every sore muscle(which I know will be worse tomorrow!). ashshutup

Arcade Fire hot, rest of music scene not

Canadian group Arcade Fire gives Robbie Robertson hope for the future of music.

"I really like Arcade Fire," said Robertson, one of the founding members of The Band. "That's a special group. And I'm not just saying that because they're Canadian.

"They have a sound, they have an attitude, they have a look, they have the performance thing. They've got the music industry's attention. Other artists really admire their work."

Red's, coincidentally an arcade itself, was clearly on fire by the end, even if there was only about one crowd-surfer for security to get excited about.

I was at the Calgary show. It was really good, my only complaint was that it was a bit too short. I think they were onstage for about 30 mins, then the encore.

It's so cool that every person onstage can play so many different instruments, very impressive. They also ended the show by coming off the stage and out of the hall, and playing out there. Very cool.

It was more than a half hour, right around an hour by my count. Amazing show, first time hearing Wolf Parade who were awesome. Was not a big fan of Belle Orchestra, which had 2 or 3 members of arcade fire. The highlight of the show was definately when arcade fire did the New Order cover.

Would have went, but there was this little thing called the NHL that got in the way. Had to give up my ticket. Flames come first!!!
Hope the result was better than the game though.
