I dont particularly like the Konig Ludwig, but I was downing Erdinger with some nice German sausage, eggs and a strange concoction of toast with butter and some sugar coating!

Thanks Aeneas!

Tried the gopher lager last weekend and it was ok in my books however if you drink more than 6 be prepared for apocalyptic beer farts the next day. Seriously it was like a gopher crawled into my ass and died.

Thanks for that analogy, I really wanted to picture that in my brain.

Another American beer I haven't seen yet in this thread is Mickey's. The beer is not bad, and under the lids there are puzzles to solve. Definitely hard to do when hammered.
I'm told New Belgium brewery doesn't do imports unfortunately, but every time I go to the States I always bring back as much as I can...

Mickey's is solid, love the stubbies.

I made a "clone" Fat Tire batch this weekend, pretty excited to see how it turns out in a couple of months. Found a decent receipe book with tons of receipes for many of the micro beers on the market today.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Budweiser!!!!

The best lager there is.
...They misspelt "Pissweiser" in that picture alltherage posted. .

Outside of Lagers, I'm a fan of the whites. I like Hoeegarden a lot, Blanche de Chambly from Unibroue, and Rickard's white as well. People may say that Rickard's white is inferior, but they're very different tasting beers, and almost nothing beats a white beer on a hot day...the only thing that does is Desperados. Forget those beers that taste like nothing but lime...Desperados has lime, AND tequila in it. It's fantastic. Fuller's London Pride is always a good ale as well.

Have a question about a beer.

Today in hawaii tried Fire Rock pale ale for the first time, it is an awesome beer. I'm hoping to get some back in Calgary; has anyone had this beer and can you find it in the city anwhere or do you have to order it online?

It's from the Kona Brewing Company.
