I've just had the pleasure of finally obtaining legality in Ontario, so forgive me if my beer knowledge isn't quite to par.
I love MGD, Harps, and Muskoka (local Ontario craft brew, it's really good)
I can't stand Rickards Red.
However, recently all I've been drinking is Strongbow. Now I'm completely aware that it's not a beer, it's a cider. Without a doubt though, one of the best things my mouth has ever experienced. EVER.

Try adding a shot of ribena (black current syrup) to it. The English call it a black and blue. A nice way to finish off your night of drinking

Calgarians like to combine Guiness and Trad for something called the Black and Tan. DELICIOUS!!!

Quick question for the CP folks, I see numerous votes for Fat Tire here and would like to throw my vote in for that as well. Has anyone found this beer in Calgary? I've been looking for it everywhere and cannot find the stuff.
Another American beer I haven't seen yet in this thread is Mickey's. The beer is not bad, and under the lids there are puzzles to solve. Definitely hard to do when hammered.

I'm not a fan of Granville Island or Fort Garry's mentioned previously...did not enjoy. Found Mill St. average.
Lagunitas is very very solid.
Been trying some barleywines and very strong dark ales (8+%) and have to say, they are by far my favorite. I am leaning more and more to strong beers...anything below 6% seems lacking. And its not for the effect at all, I just love the taste that comes with a higher content (provided its actually a good beer to go along with it).
Went on a west coast trip recently, did not find any great beers in BC and was disappointed. The only good one was the tree brewing hop head or double hop head.
I'm a huge beer snob now...who knew that it would happen so fast?

You're not the only one. I'm to the point where I won't touch any mainstream stuff like Molson, Labatt, Bud, etc, etc.
I will drink Coors though.

Yea, I drink Kokanee after hockey games...really any light beer will suffice if its hot out and you've just run around for an hour.
For recreational drinking though, nothing beats trying something new or going back to an old favorite. I think that too many people get pigeonholed into drinking the same beer for years....you are missing out! And try beers that aren't mass produced or mass marketed...Other countries might make a better version of molson, but it is still their respective molson. I promise you that they have better.

What was the consensus on Big Rock Lime? Waste of time? Or worthwhile summer beer?

I'm really enjoying the Wild Rose Wred Wheat. If you like the other Wild Rose brews (except the IPA, who the hell likes that one?), definitely try to pick up a pack of Wred Wheat. I found it at the CO-OP liquor store.

IPA's in general are awesome, especially in the summer!
The wild rose one is only an average one however.
Took me awhile to acquire the taste for IPA's, but now they are my second favorite type of beer. Good ones are amazing.

King of Beers.
All I have to say, is that people who dont drink Bud don't understand. The uniqueness of the beechwood aging and being brewed with rice- something about other beers just doesnt cut it.
Honestly, when I drink other beers- I just sit there wishing it is the King.
