GMs,
Can I get you all to make sure the player links for all of your teams are updated with working links to Hockeydb, NHL and NHLPA please?
Also, if you have an AHLer or ECHLer that doesnt have a profile in the NHL or NHLPA sites use Hockeys Future and the Forecaster sites or any other useful site to provide some info on your players. It makes it MUCH easier to have trade discussions when ALL of the info is at hands reach...thats why these links were created in the first place.
Should take you about an hour or less to complete.
When you make a trade or sign a player, check to see that this info is updated as well.

With the NHL.com links, the number that's in the link is still the same, the rest of it has changed

For Justin Abdelkader

The 8471716 is Abdelkader's player id number, so if the link is different, just delete the link, but keep the number, and paste this in before the #

Honestly, I'd rather not have to add the NHL and NHLPA links. Hockeydb is an absolute and it's annoying when those ones aren't up but I don't think I've ever used the other links before in my life. I find it easy enough to just Google a player.

That's just an opinion. If the Commishes want us to fill in those links then I will, but until then I'll just be doing the hockeydb links.

I would think the rest of the GMs would like to have access to the links...at least the majority. I cant see any reason why you would consider this to be something more then helpful to the league?

I haven't been in the league too long (about a year and a half) but I dont think I have ever looked at the NHLPA site when making a trade or signing. I don't even go to NHL.com that often - maybe checking TOI, but that is about it.

hockeydb is a must though.

Updated all of them. Took me 1 hour.

I know I look at pretty much everything when I'm looking at trades so any additional resources are good.

Please try the Hockeydb links which are already in place as many are//were broke.

I have been fixing these all year but there are to many to catch.

All the links for my players are now fixed and working. Some of the players don't have NHLPA bios so I didn't add links.

Doesn't help if there are other famous people with same name. Worse is hockey players with the same name. Its the easiest thing to do. If you can't take out 5-10 minutes to update the new ones every couple months than you're just BSing about being busy.

And I agree with Simmer, hockeyDB should be the only requirement, rest are never used.

Maybe for you they arent...sometimes the sites have different positions which helps when making position moves. They were originally put there to have ALL the info at hand, which is what makes this game...the CPHL game, the best there is. Again, it takes an hour.
If you have prospects without NHL or NHLPA info find something useful to link.
