I find they're easy to spot in the winter when there's alot of hoar frost.

That's the sweetest looking bird I've ever seen. So jealous.

He seems to float around between three or four spots (Two roofs, a fence, and a tree).

I was umpiring and a owl landed behind the right fielder on a fence post. It was a pretty cool site but man it started hooting and it was louder than crap!!

Owls scare the crap out of me. They're huge, angry lookin' and are just generally creepy. They come out mostly at night, make weird noises and can twist their head all the way around. I'd probably be more scared of being up close to an owl than any other animal, hate 'em.

Beautiful to look at in pictures though.

I bet that would solve the rabbit problem.

Does anyone know if there is a way to encourage GHO's to move into the neighbourhood ;-) ?

That's awesome. I've been trying to get pictures of it in flight...but my camera can't catch its wings nicely

More pictures I caught (Sorry the owls are small. I didn't want to get to close to them and scare them off). Top two were with flash and the bottom one was without.
