I brought it up earlier in the thread, but wouldn't it just be easier to buy rectangular cheese in 3 inch long slices?
The process of making the exquisite cheeses that Subway uses was passed down from their French and Swiss ancestors and leads to triangle shaped cheese.
(Triangle molds are cheaper than rectangles?)

Because of this thread. I'm going to try Blimpie's as soon as I can. I need to see what all this hype is about.
Unless they've changed, Blimpie's can eat me. They put way too much olive oil on their sandwiches.
And the Subways here are tessellating the cheese now, I checked when I went to that stupid place after this damn thread made me really want a frakking sub.
Now to get them to cut the subs the old way again, and bring back pepper chicken, then everyone'll be happy.....apologies for the bump. I missed the tessellating goodness of this thread

I like the new cheese placement. But a big thumbs down to the old bread cut. If you want to see how to properly cut a sub, head down to the Black Diamond Subway and watch them make the sub. I get pretty much everything on my sub and lots of lettuce. The guy then grabs his knife and uses it to pack everything into the sub, while folding over the top. The result is a perfectly made sub, packed full and nothing spills out.
