Terrible, it should have been tied yes but Matthew Upson is not an international level player unless its for Cape Verde

I am hoping that starting in September they go young to build for Euro 2012/WC 2014

only starting players I would keep from this squad are Rooney, Milner/Lennon, Ashley Cole

guys like Richards, Wilshire, Rodwell, Adam Johnson, Mancienne, Huddlestone,Walcott need to become staples in the team instead of the current team

"Mexico have never gotten past the last 16 in a world cup"

I hate CBC.

Goal vs no goal, two other issues for England that blew this game...3rd goal on James was poor...very poor and that goal was the final nail in the game.

Even the second goal had a smell to it...although not quite the same as hockey where "if the goalie can get a peice of it, it should be stopped", those two goals were saveable and were obviously huge.

Wayne Rooney? Andy Rooney or Wayne Primeau are more recognziable names in North America to most then him, if you just watched this World Cup. A whole lot of hype resulted in a whole bunch of crap from him.

Who's blaming the Germans for that miss call?

Capello will probably be gone but I really do not think it was his doing - it was ultimately the fault of the so called stars.

Their keeper issues were well known going into the WC - Capello tried to pick the best of a bad lot. In this case, the best was still terrible

Singling out Rooney, while popular, is not exactly fair. Not one of top players of England did anything positive through their four games. Gerrard was the best of a bad lot by default - his only redemption was scoring a gimmie and making the cross on the goal today. Lots of misses. FF was brutal and Terry was only a factor running his mouth (other than the obvious negative influences on the scoreline).

I feel for you. Luckily I have been able to watch the ESPN/ABC feed all the way throughout and it has been excellent!

The assistant ref was not out of position. It's his job to watch for players being offside, and he was exactly where he should have been for that. It is not his job to be camped out on the goal line. Blame Fifa for not using a goal ref.

As noted above he was in perfect position for the play but in a poor position to make a call (not his fault).

- holy crap I am going to have to agree with that pompous ass on CBC -

He had a 50-50 shot on his guess and his guess was wrong.

He plays his "stars" out of position, so yes I do blame him

Gerrard is a CM and it showed, they had no width

Upson shouldn't play professional football, and it showed

Rooney flourished in a system where he was a lone striker, Capello turned him in to a Midfielder

I kind of thought that that was more Rooney just being impatient though?

Not even the Celestial Teapot itself could have guided that team of under performing and heartless millionaires to success.

I just saw the morning result and... ouch. Looked like England got demolished and is focusing on the one perceived injustice in the match to save face. They looked poor from the start of the tournament and I was one of those expecting them to challenge.

They will be really interesting to watch in the next Euro, you would expect them to reload completely and give some young players a chance. I think if they had gone with a young star like Joe Hart from the beginning they would not have faced Germany in the 16. The 10 outside the net were mostly poor though.

So what's the headline tomorrow?

'Typical Germans' with a close-up of the disallowed goal? "Muller-ed' with one of his goals?

Or will they go with truth: "None Of Our Players Are Very Good, Our League is Losing Its Status to Spain and We Would Have Been Tonked By Argentina Anyway"

Yeah, you didn't see the match. Perceived? No, blatant more like.

You are right, however, England were poor the whole tourny and then some. Entirely disappointing.

I like "The Tinfoil Generation" - kind of shiny but no substance.

I think Mexico will win 2-1.
All I need is a fair ref to card the hell out of the Argentines' inevitable embellishing.

True point. I'm slightly annoyed by the vuvuzelas, but when I was watching a Marlins/Rays game last week and they had vuvuzela night I was really bothered by the constant drone during a baseball game.

Further to that what a baffling move at 3-1 down when you need qoals quickly taking Defoe off, our one potent striker, for "barndoor" Heskey.

Seriously, WTF?

Surely Crouch on, if Defoe had to come off for whatever reason, was the much better move. What has Crouch done to Capello to get overlooked so much?

Capello has to take almost as much blame for this World Cup as the players imo.
