aside: do you think the england press will admit this england team was poor or will they rail on the disallowed goal for 40 years?

They probably would have fared only mildly better. 2-1 loss instead of 4-1.

Wow I figured the Germans would win, but not by this margin. Time for the English boys to get thinking about the premier league again.

Man...Germany gifted a call in 2002 that gave them a much greater chance to progress and it happens again this time round.

Talking about the extra goals is kind of a moot point as I really doubt England would have been pressing forward and leaving the back end so exposed if it were 2-2.

Haha at the Mulleted English goalie and his anger with his teammates. I have been against England since the tie with the Yanks. Soooo much hype, but little substance.

Also, maybe the stoopid Rooney commercials will be pulled now.

doesn't matter now if that was a goal or not. But I guess the English fans will cry until the cows come home about it though.

England find new ways to suffer.

I have nothing against Rooney but he just looks like a dbag. I don't know of him personally other than his crotch stomp a couple of years ago but he just seems like a tool

Yeah because time and sports timelines are completely linear in nature.

No, of course it doesn't. Doesn't matter at all. Would have tied the match but, no, it didn't matter.

Seeing the cute but overdressed girls in the crowd has me looking forward to warmer climates in Brazil in 2014.

This might be worst than losing on penalties.

^No it's really not. The disallowed goal is going to sting for a while though.

Germany is going to a heck of a team going forward, it has to be said. Fantastic young team.

...Hate them!

I am sure if the roles were reversed you would be singing a different tune...oh thats right everybody does about 1966.

As a neutral that dislikes these two teams about equally, that call ruined the game. Even though England never really looked the better of the two teams, if forced them to push and hence the 4-1 scoreline.

Does this game go to 2-2 I have a feeling it puts some doubt into the mind of the young German team and gives England more confidence. This game is completely different if that goal stands, and that the game is 4-1 now is irrelevant.

All that being said Germany have to already be the early favourites for 2014, this team is young, talented, and will already have a World Cup run under their belts.

My friend at work was saying that he hope that with Brazil hosting south american will get an extra spot and maybe Venezuela will make it for the first time.

Venezuelan girls in the hot Brazil sun!

Like I said "NOW". when you lose by two even if they added that goal. Don't blame the Germans blame the assistant Ref who was out of position and couldn't call it correct.
