Thumbs down New iPhone 4 is Crap!

Wow, sounds like the new iPhone 4 might be a piece of garbage!

1) Loses signal and drops the call if you touch the metal side band - which is nearly impossible NOT to do if you hold it like, you know, a PHONE.

2) Screens having banding issues and some others have yellow spots, looks terrible

3) Phones are very brittle and are self destructing after a 1 foot drop that wouldn't have even scratched a 3GS:

I was going to upgrade my lady's 3G, but now I think she'll go Android! Apple really looks to have dropped the ball, this thing looks pretty weaksauce right now... Hopefully they fix this up before the Canadian release!

Man I'd be pissed if my chappelle show was ruined by a yellow band. Seems pretty funny that gizmodo can do nothing but complain about Apple now.

There is already an iPhone 4 thread.

Some of the issues are understandable, but dropping calls when you touch the phone a certain way is pretty stupid.

Android isn't without its issues either. But right now the launch of the EVO 4G looks like a cakewalk compared to all the problems Apple is having right now.

I thought all these issues needed a separate thread, given the let down that many early adopters seem to be feeling. Mods can merge if need be, but I thought that thread was a little too all-encompassing?

I can't see the original post, nor do I want to. Lemme guess...

- Signal bars disappear when wedging the phone into the palm of your left hand
- Strange yellowish colour showing up on some screens

We're already talking about it in the existing iPhone 4 thread.

I like how two people that have each other on ignore are having a conversation with each other.

You are correct. Also this is apparently being discussed in another thread.

I thought all apple products were impervious to any issues whatsoever!

I refuse to read an Apple related thread if it wasn't created by FanIn80.

Nah. Since we've already been talking about these two issues in the already existing iPhone thread, it wasn't hard for me to piece things together by the comments I was able to read.

Interesting. You must get fooled by a lot of different things, then.

This is a nice thread for those of us who are interested in iphone news but don't want to wade into the middle of an Apple megahump thread.

Megahump thread.. insinuating it's just a bunch of Apple fanboys fawning over the new iPhone only right, extolling how awesome it is?

It's just presentation of information.
