Just saw the highlights of the Italy-Slovakia game. Does anyone think that the Italian goal that was called back was not really offside? From the replay I saw it looked like he was still onside but that may just be my own bias. What do you guys think?

What a goal by Japan...deked everyone out with a different guy taking the kick.

ESPN went over it about 4 times after the game and it was clearly offside with the one angle.

2-0 Japan, bot goals directly from free kicks! These guys have got a real hold of the ball now evidently.

Absolutely beautiful free kick by the Japanese on that second goal. Textbook.

Looked onside since the defenders foot was actually ahead of Quagliarella, but when you play like garbage for 95% of the tournament, you don't deserve a break. But I guess other angles looked more convincing that it was offside. Maybe another case for instant replay/coach challenge?

Lippi stacked the deck against Italy to the extent that it was really pick your poison, a narrow loss to Slovakia and a depressing early exit that will prompt radical change, or a demolition job by Holland, the gloating of annoying Oranje fans, and the regressive thinking we had a chance, got beat by a top opponent, and that things aren't so gloomy, with many of this dysfunctional cast of characters getting a second swansong in Euro 2012.

Teams should take some notes from Japan on free kicks. Two different players, both with great strikes. They obviously have figured out the Jabulani.

Actually now that you mention it....Argentina's old colonial rulers, and teachers of how to default on your debt numerous times, The Spaniards. Them and Portugal can go down next.

Lots of Portugese and Spanish heritage folks here where I live so the sooner they go down, the sooner they'll take down their damn flags.

Pretty sure there would not be enough conclusive evidence to overturn a call on the field in a reply situation.

How many goals does Bendtner have in the tournament? Didn't he say he was going to lead the tournament in goals? What a tool. Elimination looks good on you, you worthless Gooner scum.

Wont be fun Sunday afternoon for you. After Sunday you'll be begging for the EPL to start up again!

Then we'll be on the same side again.
