Serbia pulls one back but I think even a 2-2 draw would see Ghana through.

Exactly. The players always bottle them and after seeing them bottle the first two matches of the World Cup does not actually inspire confidence. They played well today though. They are practicing penalties which is an improvement on the past too.
Looking forward to the match with a flutter in the stomach already.

Germany! Deutschland uber alles!!
Might as well have forfeited the match against Slovenia England, you're going home soon anyways.

Not happening this time. We've got one of the best players in the World in Wayne Rooney. I'd bet the Germans are quaking in their boots at how good the Wayner has looked.
Wait a minute.

Whew, just a huge relief with the win, totally stoked, really happy that Serbia turned out to be totally useless and finish bottom. Really looking forward to England/Germany.

Just remember Locke you will be cheering against Stevie. How on earth, as a Liverpool fan, is that even possible? A Liverpool fan simply cannot cheer against this guy.
Seriously, I actually fancy England to take this one. I've felt all along that they might make the semis or even the final. They have not played that well. Even today they missed a boatload that would have meant missing the German matchup. Still, I have a sneaking suspicion that they are going further. It's fated. Sorry Locke.

I think England can win the game against the Germans.
Germany did not look all that confident in the back (Outside of Lamb who is the best right back in the world), and Ghana had a lot of missed chances on the counter.
Germany's young midfield has not faced a real solid test yet and I think England is a good match for them this time around.
Rooney looked like he was finally starting to wake up in the game this morning and I think England wins the game with him finally scoring a goal in this tourney.

I'll put it aside for the World Cup, England can win, but Germany are going to be their ruthlessly efficient selves. They simply do not panic, and I'd be willing to bet that if you hold England long enough and you cant say the same about the English players.
Well, we'll see how fate goes from here on out. The German team is very young and not expected to do very much in this tournament, but they'll have Klose back which should be good in the scoring touch department.
Might lose Schweinsteiger though, looked pretty hurt after the game.

USA must be the only team ever to win a World Cup Group having never led in a match (injury time doesn't count).

And that classic USA - Ghana rivalry is rekindled once again.

I wonder how hard Netherlands and Cameroon will push tomorrow morning. Looks like the dutch are through and probably in 1st barring a really bad outing. I've read that Robben may finally play.

It'll probably be a scrimmage, a good game for Robben to take a run in.
The other one Japan-Denmark will be death!

Ya that one should have some drama. The second group is going to be interesting too. I was just looking at it and if Paraguay wins it's probable that we will have an Italy-Netherlands round of 16 matchup.
