The US completely deserved to win that game...not even close except on the scoreboard.

Both teams are going to get slaughtered in the KO round.
I wish it wasn't true, but it will be.

Talk about a clutch goal. The best US soccer player ever just put his team through to the next round with that one.
I am looking forward to all the round of 16 matchups.
Hup Holland Hup!!!

If Germany wins this morning. Will be an awesome round of 16 game. If that happens amazingly you have two of Uruguay,Korea,USA and Australia/Serbia/Ghana in the final 8 already! Year of the underdog?

I (really) don't like you, but good job USA! There is a good chance that it will be England - Germany in the next round.

Yes and the Germans need a win to do that. Tie and they are touch and go to make the 16.

only thing I dont like is now Englands round of 16 (and potential QF games) are the early ones and not the late ones

Can't fault him, that's a career defining goal for your country.
Have a feeling Germany will crush Ghana.

So Germany could win the group with a win or be out altogether after today with a loss.
If Ghana beats Germany, Germany is out.

The US totally deserved to go through. They had two perfectly good goals disallowed so should have won the group going away. I'm no fan of theirs but it's nice to see justice done occasionally.
England-Germany would be epic. I really don't care who they play as I'm just immensely relieved that they made it through. They will have to start finishing their chances if they want to go further though.

Actually, Germans can only win. Unless Serbia and Australia tie also, in which case GD will decide, but high chance that that won't happen. It's most likely win or go home for Germany.

If England does anything this World Cup it won't be the easy way - likely Germany in the next round and most likely Argentina if they progress.

Yeah, that sucks. Geez why couldn't Rooney, Defoe, Gerrard bury those chances?

If that game is a tie, they will hammer Australia on G/D should they win and would beat Serbia if that game is a tie on G/D.
The only way they go home if they tie is if Serbia wins
