Agreed. Johnson is not a very good defender so he has to be making things happen up front to be of any value. He's not doing that so.......

Wayne Rooney is a waste of a roster spot.
How many English fans would have thought that leaving Rooney at home would England in the exact same position as they already are?

Although he hasn't played well his presence alone creates issues for the defense that no other English attacker creates. They still have to pay attention to him and play him as if he's in good form. You watch enough football to know that putting Bent there wouldn't do that.
