I just don't understand Cito sometimes. Tallet is not the guy you bring into the 6th with a one-run lead.

I missed most of the game. Why would he take out Marcum after only five innings?

I'm thinking it had to do something with his pitch count he had 102 pitches.

EE was sent down to AAA today. I didn't really see that one coming.

Looks like the 3B down there, Emaus, will be coming up.
Edit: nvm, actually Hoffpauir:

I heard Hoffpauir is an Error machine. Anyone know if there is any truth to this?
Either way, this is suprising, but not un-called for.

Sorry, I guess I was confused - I thought you guys wanted confirmation that EE was sent down, but instead realize that hoffpauir was the one you are asking about. My bad.

Probably optioned due to lazy play - they were talking about it on the radio broadcast - he hasn't been running hard on ground balls and today didn't even bother running to 1st after a dropped third strike.

The Jays signed their 33rd round pick Melvin Garcia. He's a high school OF, and was expected to not sign, but the Jays offered well above slot, which is rumoured to be 8th round slot money, which is probably where he would've been drafted a year or two from now.

Whats the story with Travis Snider these days? Last I heard he was out with a wrist injury and thats well over a month ago. Any chance that he may be getting ready to get back so they'd move Bautista back to third and Snider into the lineup. *Check that Sniders out until at least after the All Star break*
Encarnacion hit a few solo home runs but other than that he wasn't a particularly useful player. Manny Ramirez like in the field and highly unproductive. Oddly enough Scott Rolen is having a huge year for the Reds. I guess that was a bad trade for the Jays even if they did move out a few dollars with Rolens contract.

Snider's out till after the all-star break unfortunately, and is doubtful to be any good for the rest of the year offensively.
They still have those two pitchers Roenicke and Stewart for Rolen, so it's still possible that things might be decent.

Anytime you want to get rid of Tallet....put in Roenicke...you'll want Tallet back in an instant.
That trade saved the Jays money, thats the only thing they'll get out of it.

From what I have read, Snider is out until after the All star break sounds like a week to week type of an injury. I doubt that means he will not provide offense for the rest of the year. I suspect he will be back in August if I had to guess.
As for the Rolen trade the main element in the trade was Zach Stewart who is a high end Pitching prospect. My understanding E5 was a throw-in type of a player in the deal.
Will take a few years to know how that deal worked out.

I assume you mean Rolen? Rolen requested a trade. Zach Stewart is the main element of the trade. Way to early to say who wins this deal.
