Fight breaks out, Kaka sent off! So he misses the game against Portugal now...haha love the commentator, "that wouldn't have killed a wasp".

wow again speechless. Kaka is an idiot for even elbowing CIV player (to chest") BUT the fact that CIV player grabbed his face as if Kaka broke his nose...is disgusting.

I guess I'm disgusted easily

Do you see what I mean when I say that Italy isn't the worst when it comes to this sort of thing? There's no way you can say that the Italians are worse divers than the display that has been seen at this match (for both sides).

Ha, well the Italians have consistency on their side. By no means are they the only ones who do this crap though....this finish is an embarrassment to football fans everywhere. This is why you have to stop it at every level and at every turn.....as soon as you allow one team to do this crap, the other retaliates with their own theatrics because they know they can. Before long, you have a soap opera on the pitch.

That red card wasn't even close. It will be appealed and overturned if Fifa have an ounce of brains left in them. After the France qualifying mess, I have no faith left in their though process.

Not sure what the exact rankings were but Italy drew Poland, Peru and Cameroon. Not exactly soccer superpowers.

Kaka is as responsible for getting kicked out as any.

He knew he had a Yellow, and with the events going on and how Ivory coast was instigating, that they might try to do something to screw him over.

It was a disgraceful dive and that player should get thrown out of the tournament as well, but Kaka should've used his head and avoided everyone, especially with only 5 minutes left in the game.

Terrible idea from Keita to do that. Now Kaka can't play against Portugal, which is a game that the Ivorians really need Brazil to win by 2+ goals. Really really stupid. Tough to say if they would play him even if he could though.

Any possibility for a suspension for Keita? I would love to see one as someone who cheers for the elephants and doesn't want that on the team I cheer for.

I was just going to say this. Ivory Coast need Brazil to do them a favour when they face off against Portugal. Having Brazil's best player suspended for that match is just an all around dumb move.

I'm not trying to take away how bad today's draw was. It was terrible. Plain and simple. My point is, Italy (or any team for that matter) have a chance if they make it to the knock-out stage. I'm kind of hoping that Italy advances and draws Holland.

Bit worried about that, though Holland beat them fairly easily last time they played in a bit game (Euro08). Would rather not play Italy though.

As far as that disgrace for Kaka, probably for the best for him as it resets his yellows going forward.

With yellows not getting wiped out until the QF's, better to sit out against POR then get another one there and miss the knockout stage.

As for the French, round up the Irish and let them play against South Africa and beyond! I am sure osme union in France is going to strike as a result of this somehow too.

Pretty much hard to have any sympathy for Brazil, when Luis Fabiano acted like he got shot everytime he was touched. Honestly, if I was playing Brazil and they were beating the crap out of my team I would probably try to injure him so he actually had something to cry about. He was the worst offender of diving and whining I have seen in awhile.

Italians do dive consistently and alot. But I can't recall an Italian dive ever getting another player sent off. Not like this one, or the Rivaldo one (that one sucked)

Kaka probably just wanted the next match off.

LOL that's funny.

But is getting headbutted in the chest a dive? He's not grabbing his face!

Coincidental timing. I wasn't posting it in reference to diving, just found it elsewhere and wanted to share.
I didn't notice the posts before it until now; funny timing.
