Damn, I was hoping to see the Yanks lose. I can't believe they came back.
And it's nice to see the English underachieve on the grand stage like always!

Rooney is absolutely useless. And people were complaining about Heskey!!

England are clueless beyond belief. As a long time England fan this is not exactly unusual. Disappointing sure.
Boring match too.

So after 2 games in that group it is:
1. Slovenia - 4 points
2. USA - 2 points, 3 GF
3. England 2 points, 1 GF
4. Algeria 1 point
USA vs Algeria
England vs Slovenia
Should be really interesting.
Like they just said in the post-game. "England has some fancy names that make money, but they are just not that good".

Another craptastic game. Rooney should go back to painting lines on footbal fields.

I'm not sure about some of the older posters here on CP, but outside of that debacle (0-0 Macedonia) in Euro '08 qualifying, I don't think I've seen a worse England performance.
Capello got the starting lineup wrong, the formation wrong and the substitutions wrong. Probably the worst managerial 'exercise' I've seen since that moron Glenn Hoddle in the '98 World Cup.
Gerrard on the left? Rooney on the left? SWP as a like-for-like sub with Lennon? Really? Does anyone think that those are England's best 11?
Wow.

Wow, Slovenia in the driver's seat.
The good news is that the USA controls their own destiny. A win against Algeria gets them into the next round, regardless of what happens with England-Slovenia.

Thoughts?

Hmm, have to delve into the old memory banks as there has been some doozies before. This one ranks right up there though.

Makes me feel a bit better about Germany though, they're sitting with more points in 2 games than England.

How can the country that invented the sport be so bad at it? That was some really poor, uncreative football. Why people think that England is a threat to win the Cup every tournament is mind boggling. They just flat out suck in every single tournament.

Can Slovenia get at least a draw against England? If they do, and USA beats Algeria...bye, bye England... :/

Everything was wrong about England today except from Ashley Cole and David James.
Rooney is a shadow of himself. No first touch when he does get service, trying to play every position on the pitch to no affect whatsoever.
Gerrard and Lampard do not work period. Why did Gerrard try and pass to Lampard instead of shooting?
Barry looks rusty understandably but still better than everyone but the aforementioned two.
The CB's have no pace and will get pulled apart by a better team.
SWP in place of Lennon? Please.
Heskey works hard but that's it. There were better options for this game.
Frustrating but like I said before not exactly that unusual.
Valid criticism aside I still think they get through to the knockout stages and may even go further. Just a hunch.
