If someone can tell me that Mass Effect 3 will be on the 360 I'd probably think about getting one of these. In a year I won't have access to my roommates 360.

I'm pretty sure it will be, at worst it would be cross-platform, but that wouldn't make sense unless they release the first two on PS3 as well since it is a trilogy.

Yeah, if I did get my own console, I'd have to get my own copies of one and two are replay. There would be no point in making 3 a cross platform game if they didn't with the first two.

The third and final game of the Mass Effect triology is expected in Fall 2011. Therefore, I am 99% certain it will be released on XBOX 360.

mass effect 1 & 2 were on xbox 360... no reason why 3 wouldn't... considering the major changes will only be story, the combat and all that will be very identical to 2.

Normally I'd think it was a bit much to buy a console for one franchise. But Mass Effect isn't just an average franchise.

Don't be so sure. They had a lot of complaints from people who liked the first (which had a TON more RPG elements) and they may add that to the 3rd.

At least I prey they do that. A hybrid of ME1 and 2.

I know most people disagree, but IMO combat was much better in ME1. ME1 is use guns liberally, conserve powers. ME2 is spam powers, conserve ammo... not nearly as much fun.

Majority people I heard enjoyed 2 more than 1, and I found combat was better in 2, but the RPG bit was a bit more fun in 1. I found combat in 1 a little choppy.

But with a quick turn around (1 year) between games, not much will change.

So the old Xbox doesn't have a Kinnect port? If true, that's pretty stupid of Microsoft.

I think there's going to be 2 versions. One with a power source and one without.

For old xbox, you will need a seperate power adaptor for Kinect. For the new xbox, the link between Kinect and the xbox also supplies power.
